I have received my three texts/emails stating i have been transferred to California, as well as my case transfer confirmation letter. Yesterday I got a notification that my "address was changed" which i never requested or modified on the website.

"On March 20, 2014, your address was changed relating to the I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN that you filed. "

I am hoping that this means that my data was being entered in the system, but I really don't have a clue. Has anyone else seen this or know what it means?

This usually means an imminent approval. Good luck!

Based on what I have read, I think that this means that they have entered my case into the system. Imminent approval? NOT SURE BUT THAT IS WHAT I WAS HOPING FOR!

Congrats on the approval! What service center were you at?

I don't think it's important to get the email- they'll send you a hard copy in the mail as far as I know (if you want to keep for documentation).

very interesting for anyone wonder why USCIS or NVC take longer to approve your cases. Alwayws wonder what are the steps to approve a visa aplication. They may start looking at your case @ five months, but it may take 30 or 60 days to approve

as any other job or company although they function as a government company, but they may adhere with SLAs, meaning they have deadlines for the cases they are reviewing.

Also, there is not just one person within the service center looking at your case, there may be other depts, teams looking at you case and this take time due to other people.

We all hope that our applications get approved soon so we can start the NVC process. Good Luck to every we are just half or more in our visa process journey.

These are two jobs posted in the internet """Visa Processing Specialist will report to the Team Lead. He/she will enter data into an automated system using formatting input screens, validating information from Visa applications and related source documents in accordance with specified guidelines. Source information includes applications, petitions, forms, supplemental documentation, and other documents. The Visa Processing Specialist will modify, update, and correct data contained in automated systems, perform data inquiries and searches on automated systems. He/she will also generate records and reports from these systems and perform name and alien number searches. He/she will refer cases with discrepancies that indicate possible fraud to the PASS Unit for review. This position requires the application of training, experience and judgment in selecting procedures to be followed in searching for, interpreting, selecting, or coding items to be entered"

"""The PASS General Clerk will assist the Fraud Prevention Managers in clerical and administrative work related to PASS. He/she will ensure that cases are being delivered to the PASS unit and sent out of the PASS unit properly and tracked in the visa processing system. The clerk will process cases (administrative returns such as death, divorce, withdrawal requests) that are being returned to USCIS for revocation ensuring the visa processing system is updated properly. Also, process reaffirmed petitions and revocation notices sent to NVC from USCIS. He/she may be required to perform other duties as assigned to advance the PASS mission of supporting pre-adjudication as it relates to visa cases""

Congrats for the recent approvals from CSC! Since you're moving to NVC, you may want to check "NVC Filers - March 2014". http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/483206-nvc-filers-march-2014/ It sounds like the backlog is not as bad as what it was 2-3 months ago.

I hope to join "NVC Filers - April 2014", but I may end up joining "NVC Filers - May 2014" or "NVC Filers - June 2014".

Where is my approval email? LOL!
