Sorry for the late response, have been swamped and not able to reply here as often as I would like.

I responded earlier to this thread stating that I filed in late September 2013 and receive a PD of October 3. In the last week I have had two updates...

1.) On March 7 (5AM) I received the following update from USCIS:

"On March 7, 2014, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address."

2.) On March 10 (Today, 2PM) I received the following update from USCIS:

"On March 10, 2014, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations."

...I understand the first corroborates with most here. On the latter, though, I'm not sure what to make of it - except that it seems positive. On the Case Status page at USCIS.gov I was previously at the "Initial Review" phase, but now it shows at the "Post Decision Activity" phase (skipped the "Decision" phase).

Anyone know what to make of this? Does this mean I can expect NOA2 sometime soon? Thanks.

This is bizarre: I just received a text and email that seems to indicate I've stepped backwards in the process...

3.) On March 10 (Today, 3:45PM) I received the following update from USCIS:

"Your Case Status: Initial Review

The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

I checked on the Case Status page again and it stepped back two steps, from "Post Decision Activity" to "Initial Review".

What should I make of this?

Really? It could be just a glitch in the system. Let's hope it's that. I have never seen that happen for anyone else so I am assuming their tracking system on website must be facing issues. It's not like they will approve someone and go like, "haha just kidding!"

Not unless they use their own website (customer portal) to determine Case Status. When I called earlier to confirm the approval they told me it was approved and was being routed to the NVC. I just called them a half hour ago and they told me the status is "Initial Review" and they don't know what is responsible for the discrepancy. I was forwarded to Level 2 support, where I have been waiting on the phone for the last 34 minutes. :|

Level 1 agents would just read your own case status back to you. They have no additional info. Be nice to Level 2 guy and explain the whole thing to him. Level 2 agents are also able to tell you which service center your file is at. so confirm that too and keep us posted.

After an hour and a half wait I got through and was told it was a processing error that resulted in that. My case is still in the "Initial Review" phase after being transferred to the TSC. No worries, I was nice to him and he was nice to me. :) I'm just a bit disappointed about the false hope of an expedited process.

On another note, does anyone know how long my Canadian spouse can visit for while we are in this process? Thanks.

What a tease! I hope you get your approval soon.

As long as he can prove enough ties (e.g. job, school, etc.) to get past the border, he can stay for 180 days (although it may be difficult to get cleared for that many days, since most jobs/schools aren't out for that long). And just as a tip I just picked up during my last visit, the CBP officers seem to like it when you know exactly how long you'll be staying, so if, for example, he'll be visiting you for 2 months and 5 days, tell him to say that instead of "o about 2 months". I don't know why, but doing that seemed to really reduce suspicions in my case. Good luck!

I am the beneficiary.

Is it me, or were there hardly any transfers tonight?

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.
