Congrats! What time did you receive the email from USCIS? It's interesting because they usually send out transfer emails around 7pm (EST).

Maybe they're sending emails before 7pm (EST) since they're trying to finish transferring all Oct applicants?

I didn't get any email yet, I checked the online status after seeing the comments on this forum. I had the following message:

"On March 10, 2014, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address."

Ah, great idea! I just checked my online status and it hasn't changed yet. Arrrggghhh! My PD is 10/4.

My theory is Canadians start getting depressed at the end of fall due to coming winter, hence sudden spike in urge to move south lol. Jokes aside, hope we get approvals soon. I noticed you are going to be moving to Seattle? If yes, lucky you!

Hahaha you're right... this winter has been particularly tough! Although I'm not convinced that winters in Chicago will be much better

Yes, we're moving to Seattle once I get a Green Card. Since we live in Vancouver, BC and it's only 2.5 hours to Seattle, it shouldn't be too difficult to move there.

Yes, we're moving to Seattle once I get a Green Card. Since we live in Vancouver, BC and it's only 2.5 hours to Seattle, it shouldn't be too difficult to move there.

Oh there won't be much change geographically for you then. I will have to convince my wife to move to west coast, but for now i'll deal with getting done this process first.

Sorry for the late response, have been swamped and not able to reply here as often as I would like.

I responded earlier to this thread stating that I filed in late September 2013 and receive a PD of October 3. In the last week I have had two updates...

1.) On March 7 (5AM) I received the following update from USCIS:

"On March 7, 2014, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address."

2.) On March 10 (Today, 2PM) I received the following update from USCIS:

"On March 10, 2014, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.
For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations."

...I understand the first corroborates with most here. On the latter, though, I'm not sure what to make of it - except that it seems positive. On the Case Status page at USCIS.gov I was previously at the "Initial Review" phase, but now it shows at the "Post Decision Activity" phase (skipped the "Decision" phase).

Anyone know what to make of this? Does this mean I can expect NOA2 sometime soon? Thanks.

Dude! That is your approval! You should get the hardcopy of the NOA2 pretty soon (they should already have mailed it - or will do so today) and now you can check out what's next on the NVC thread! Congratulations!!!

1. On 6th March 2014 we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing.

2. On 10th March 2014 The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office.

Now... USCIS.... Where is my darn transfer email? Haha.

CSC seemed disproportionately efficient, hopefully everyone was transferred there and I'm just leading the line in imminent approvals.
