ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

 

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

 

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

Does anybody know how long after being denied an expedite request can you call for another one/.?

About 2 weeks (actually less but I forget the exact number, I want to say 9 days).

I-130 Sent: 11 November 2013

I-130 1st i-797(NOA-1): 12 November 2013, Vermont (Dis-)Service Center (1 day in transit)

I-130 2nd i-797(NOA-2): 30 May 2014, Vermont (Total Dis-)Service Center (199 days in USCIS hell)

Husband has his interview this week at London embassy. Fingers crossed all goes well!

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing... We are both doing great just going threw the normal stuff, counting days and watching everyone get approved as we wait.

I think I'm doing ok. I had a mini freak out a couple of hours ago because I realised it might be a problem that the seal on our marriage cert is barely visible in the photocopy... but if it's a problem then it'll be an easy RFE to deal with at least.

I'm having real trouble sleeping. It used to just be work nights because I was conscious of how little time I had left to sleep, but even on weekends I lay awake staring at the ceiling. I'm like a zombie every day and can't perform as well at work. All I can think about is my case status.

One good thing that happened this week - I sent all my DVDs and videogames to my husband and they arrived yesterday safe and sound :) still don't know what to do with the rest of my stuff. My books are too heavy and I don't even know how I'll pack/ship my stereo! Or my Wii... maybe we'll just have to buy replacements :(

We have a new work experience boy at my office and he's always asking me questions about my husband which is therapeutic in a way. His brother is married to a girl in New Orleans and he went the K-1 route. I don't remember how long ago he did it, but it sounded like it was during a time K-1s were backlogged, poor guy. Seems that as soon as one visa type goes smoothly, another goes to s***, lol.

My father-in-law is also pestering my husband to hire one of his immigration lawyer friends for our case since according to them, it's "taking way too long". So there you have it, immigration lawyers in the US who are blissfully unaware of the USCIS backlog.

Edit: I say they're unaware because his father said the reason it's taking so long is because "we" have done it all wrong! Not because USCIS didn't adjudicate anything for most of last year :D

You'll need to find a way to ship your DVD player I think... UK is not the same "region" as US so your DVDs won't play on US machines!

Hi

My husband and my kids are us citizens and unfortunately i'm not.

We currently live in Israel and want to immigrate to the states.

When my husband submitted the i-130 for me i thought it was too early... I had no idea about the huge line and all those postponements.

My husband is leaving for the states in 2 months to start working and to prepare our new home.

I really wanted to move in the summer during the school break. According to the time table it seems that i won't have a GC by then. Can i go and stay with my family in the states and then go back to Israel for the interview? is there another option maybe?

What are you'r estimates ? when do you think we will start getting GC?

i wish i had known about this website before the papers submission's. It could have saved me a massive headache.

Hello Everyone!



i have a doubt, i will go in the U.S. for see my husband for one month in feb for s. Valentine day, we are still waiting for the NOA2 and my work made me a document say that my leave day are confirm and i will go back to work on the 16 march.


Is this document enough for prove that i will go back in my country? Or can be some problem at the airport?
