I'm in the same situation as you. I sent my AOS in after I completed the DS-261 and the AOS has already been reviewed and approved. I know it's only a couple of weeks after the 30 business days and NVC have confirmed to myself and my husband they definitely have the DS-261 on file and are waiting to review it, but when you have no timescale, you feel like they're never going to look at it!

I really hope you get your IV fee invoice today or early next week! :star: Fingers crossed!

NVC will take longer than we expected....now they are saying it will take 60 days to review a document.

NVC timeframe approx 7-8 months or longer if you don't a checklist now.

NOA2 May

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on

We are currently receiving an increased number of approved petitions from U.S. Citizenship and

Immigration Services. As a result, we are experiencing increased review times for documents

We expect it will be at least 60 days from the date we received your mail before we complete the

review of your documents. We will notify you when we review your documents.

We are working to reduce these processing times and we appreciate your patience.

Our case is at the last stage of the NVC where they have only to review the DS-260 and IV package documents, and issue a case complete. However, my wife received some conflicting emails about the IV documents which see sent electronically. Two stay under the 5MB/email attachment limit, we sent out four emails with separate attachments (and all necessary info in the body and subject line) a month ago and received responses to two of them last week. The first response stated "Unfortunately no attachments were received with this email." But being that their response was a direct reply to her email, it was evident that the attachments were there since they were scanned images in the body of the email. The second response stated "The correspondence submitted is currently under review. An appropriate action will be taken once this review is completed." This was a response to my wife's second email, which was practically a mirror image of the first except with different attachments. I called them twice since we received those replies. The first time I insisted the attachments were there and they told me to resend them and it would take another 30+ business days to review. :| The second time I was told they do not know what is happening but don't seem to require any further action from me at this time and that the items are likely still in review (they sounded uncertain). So now I'm thinking one of two things: (a) I hunker down and wait and pray for a timely review and response indicating we're moving to case complete or that they require a specific action from me; or (b) on the assumption that they are unable to review the IV package emails because they were somehow attached wrong or in a format that they will reject (high resolution JPEGs - I realized after the fact that they suggest PDFs), and take initiative by resending all four emails and attaching in a different way (using a web-based interface rather than an email client) and in a different format (PDF). My concern with the latter is that if we resend all of the emails it will somehow interfere with their apparent current review phase of what was already sent and further delay the entire process. Is this a valid concern, or am I safe to resend all of the IV package emails? Any input is appreciated. Thanks

Does anyone know what time-frames currently look like for (a) receiving 'case complete' after all steps (DS-260, AOS, IV, etc.) have been completed and approved, and (b) being issued an interview date in Montreal (for Canadians) following 'case complete'? Last I checked the time between the interview date being issued and the actual interview, in Montreal at least, is about two months. Anyone know if this is still to expected time-frame? Thanks.

My attitude towards my IV invoice is that of Pollyanna on opposite day. It's never going to happen!

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

I'd say case complete would be ~30 business days after the last document was scanned in. Or 60 calendar days if you want to go by NVC's latest spam campaign.

Interview appointment depends on the availability of Montreal's embassy and I'm not too read-up on current time frames for it.

NVC has had me feeling blue the last couple of weeks as well <insert rant>. My partner left for the US mid June thinking we had not long to go and it would be better for the paperwork if he reestablished domicile, but we did not envisage this latest stunt by US immigration!

Company policy at my work is that we have to take 2 weeks continuous leave before financial year end so after some research have decided to go visit. Seems unlikely that I would get turned away with a return ticket and a letter from work. At least this way we can split up the never ending time apart caused by the US government (I admire the couples strength who have/are spending the immigration process time apart).

The upcoming visit and holiday has improved my otherwise dismal mood!

I just felt the need to put my thoughts out there and wishing us all some good luck and strength to continue!

I'm flying out on Friday and it has cheered me and my husband up to know we'll have some time together this year.

You should be fine going through the border. My advice though would be take your NOA2 and some correspondence from NVC too to show you're not going the AOS route. You likely won't need it but still better to have it :D

Hey Aussie peeps!

Help with Police Clearance.

I am in WA and am trying to get guidance on where to get police clearance. Sydney embassy reply email says AFP, embassy website says look at Department of State website which says WA Police. Have seen a person on here who got a checklist and was asked to provide NVC with fingerprints. Don't see fingerprints anywhere.

Help!! Any recent experiences?????

My husband and I have been waiting since January 2014. Seventeen years together. We filed in Oct and Dec, nothing. I had to phone in April of 2014 and was told by USCIS agents and supervisors 6 times that my husband could come to the U.S. and we file the 1-129f when he got here. Stopped at the border and told no, that was the wrong information.

Still waiting, congressional inquiry, White House letter, several requests and still nothing.

I think I will be moving to Vancouver, disappointed with my country and their actions.

PS. I served in the USAF for 10 years, what for? The disrespect from this process has left me thinking how backwards this country is, their lack of accountability is weakening.
