Finally,

I have purchased my wife's ticket this morning when she got her passport from the embassy. She will enter the USA at Chicago O'Hare on June 5th.

I was very surprised that the embassy was able to get me an earlier interview date. My wife's interview was supposed to be 11JUN14 but she ended up getting her interview on 27MAY14. She was expecting a lot of questions but she never expected that the consular would ask her about my ex-wife O_o. She did not answer all questions because the questions were focused on my ex-wife. Though, when she did not know the answer she said that she doesn't know. Very weird but she got approved.

I wish all of you to get approvals soon and reunite with your loved ones.

Chumi, any updates?

Did u call Nvc?

I couldnt call coz I was busy:(

But I will try on Wed!

One of my friends who got case number n stuff by calling them last week said she couldnt pay AOS fee untill she received an email from NVC.

Now she could pay AOS and IV fee at the same time but cannot send DS260 yet. She says calling NVC n received numbers meant nothing coz she couldnt do anything until she received an email from NVC.

Something has changed about the process?

I have no idea, but will call them on Wed:)

I got my case number on 5/27 :)

I went to CEAC and after I entered the case number, I got:

Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) for the next step in the processing of your visa petition. If you have misplaced the instructions sent to you by the NVC or did not receive them, please contact us athttp://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3177.html for additional information.

Will this change once the AOS/IV fees are ready to be paid?

Great, TSC just updated their processing times to say 5 months. I will be at 8 months in a few more days and still waiting for approval.

Same story here at VSC. Have you filed any service requests? What do they respond?

Sucks to be us, eh? I can't believe people who filed after me are already finishing up their interviews...

Anyways, I was able to put in a request last week. They are due to respond by June 12 (but I'm not counting on them doing so). I'll email TSC directly if I don't hear from them on that date.

Also, now that the website updated to say 5 months, I'll be contacting my senator to see if his office can do more for me than just file a status request. I will really try to get them to do so...

Last I heard on my case was a response to a service request from March that I filed when my case wasn't transferred while most of the Oct filers were transferred (I ended up being transferred a week later than most, and a day after filing the service request). They responded to that service request after nearly a month to say they were waiting for my security checks to come in. IMO, such a long time for security checks to come in is just ridiculous given that both my wife and I have no criminal record whatsoever, and my wife even comes from a country that belongs to the Visa Waiver Program!

I'm just sick and tired of this, and not looking forward to being separated from my wife after I have to return to the US in another month or so, especially when my wife could easily be on the plane with me if USCIS had its act together. This is quite an embarrassment actually, as a husband and an American.

Usually they mail response to service request to your current address. If you're not in US then do u have someone who checks your mail? I got reply from my service request in mail within a week. They say it's been assigned to officers. What a BS, that they are already approving Feb 2014 filers.

Yes, they require a US address actually to file a service request. I had to give them one the first time in order to file. Nothing was ever sent there. I received the response in an email. "Assigned to officers" doesn't really tell you anything. The hardest part is there being no real recourse about all this. No one to complain to that will actually help us, or at the very least fix this problem so others won't also have these problems. I gave up on looking at the current approvals a long time ago, it's way too depressing.

May be they mailed letter to your recent request instead of email. How long before they told you background checks are pending? Usually it takes them 30 days to resolve that.

you're not alone! we're turning 8 months on the 11th of June and still waiting for TSC's response! My husband filed a service request a month ago and still no words from them.

Yesterday was the 8 month mark since filing. And for the first time today I was able to submit an e-request online, previously when I tried to do this over the phone or online it would say that I was within normal processing times.

Also, I moved about 10 days ago and submitted a change of address online on the 29th. I got a letter in the mail on the 2nd confirming my new address (that's the fastest thing they've done for me in 8 months!!). Interestingly the letterhead was from VSC, so that also answered the question about where my case was.

Now, if I could just get some resolution to calm both mine and my spouses nerves. Grrrrrrr.

At least you know where it is now. Btw Did you have to file any waivers for your spouse's over stay?
