Any October filers whose case has been transferred to a different center? I know I'm not the only one who's frustrated here but enough is enough..I'm seeing some people mentioning about the wait time being 3 months after the case is transferred to a different benefit center..our case hasn't even been touched, transferring is out of question! So sick of this waiting game..hope this new year will bring all the good news and quick approvals!

The wait is around 9-12 months for NOA2 right now. It's just the way it is. Some people from April and March still haven't been approved. We September and October filers have a long wait ahead of us.

April until now is 8 months, not 9, and some maye filers are getting approvals. As they work the backlog the time will come down. 7 months is IMO a more realistic timeframe.

My wife filed I-130 petition this October so I'm the beneficiary. She received NOA1 on October 24th via e-mail and a hard copy a week later.

I just saw that USCIS website was updated and dates for I-130 changed from February 12th to February 13th. This looks the same as last month's situation where they changed from October 2nd to October 3rd and the next day they changed it to February 12th. Hope this time will be the same. We'll see... :)

I'm going to try an experiment. We're going to file an I-129f now (well, after Christmas). Probably nothing will happen. But maybe, just maybe, when they find our I-130 to match them up, they'll say "well, I have it in my hands now, might as well process it!"

I feel awful for complaining about my wait time when so many of you have been waiting for what seems like forever. :( Just waiting for our last hurdle - the interview now. Completed Submission of the notification of applicant readiness form on 13 Dec. Still no interview date set (DCF - London) Anyone else filing through London? Curious as to what the average wait time is to get an interview date...

We picked a bizarre year to file for the CR/IR-1 didn't we guys... I know things are supposed to fluctuate, but they didn't adjudicate anything for months! I'm new to this game, but have they ever just "stopped" adjudicating certain petitions before?

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

 

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

 

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

As I understand it, they first did this to the K1's last year at the start of DACA. However, that backlog was much smaller, and when they finally got on it was cleared very quickly. With us, they just don't seem to care in the least.

I think that the K1's and us are probably the only ones that they do this to, as we're without numerical limits and country caps for the year. But I could be wrong. I understand that they're taking their sweet time with other types of filers as well, but I don't think to the extent that they've done it to the IR/CR filers this year.
