Yes, I have the right address, and it comes up in the payment portal with the right name and all... just not ready for processing. It usually takes a week or so, and I happened to call the very day they assigned the number. So I'm still holding out hope for being able to sign in tomorrow. Otherwise it'll be next week I guess.

Were you be able to do anything today?

Someone posted a message on the NVC thread about a missing case. :bonk:

Her case has been missing for 3 months since USCIS shipped it to NVC, and nobody (USCIS or NVC) knows where her case is. :wow:

What username? I've tried reading a good few pages, but can't find any mention.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Were you be able to do anything today?

Yes! Filled in and submitted ds261! On our way! Also, got hubby to phone his bank (since he doesn't actually have checks for his US accounts) and get us the routing number for whenever they get around to unlocking the aos fee. (and, to be honest, convincing hubby to sit on hold with anyone was one of the toughest parts of the whole process so far!) :reading:

I'm an October '13 filer. Just received my NOA 2 on April 4th with an approval for my I-130 filing notifying me that the case has been forwarded to the NVC. I called the NVC today to get an update on the status and was told that they received my case from the USCIS but have not logged it yet (ie: it does not have a case number yet) and that I should call back in 20-30 days, which is the latest expected time for a case number to be assigned and the next stage of processing to begin.

My question in the meantime is, is there anything I can do while I wait to prepare for the next step (and future steps, if possible)? If so, can you please point me to the resources for that (ie: a checklist of documents I can begin filling on now, miscellaneous information I need to prepare ahead of time, etc.)?

Thanks.

You'll need to establish financial support, and need the following (with no joint sponsors)

Completed, signed, and dated I-864 form by petitioner

-Tax information^^ of petitioner (either just the last year OR the last 3 years)

-Employment letter of petitioner (optional, but good proof of CURRENT income)

-Pay stub(s) of petitioner (optional, but good proof of CURRENT income)

For the Immigrant visa package (it's all about the beneficiary)

-Two passport-style photographs (2" x 2") of beneficiary (on the back, write: beneficiary's full name, date of birth, and case number)

-Copy of bio-data page of beneficiary's unexpired passport

-Original or Certified Copy of beneficiary's birth certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY (note: NOT notarized, but certified, this means that it has to bear the seal of the civil registry where the original doc is)

-Original or Certified Copy of marriage certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY (same as above regarding the certified part)

-Original police certificate(s)

You can find more info here http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Good luck!

This is getting ridiculous...

What did your husband get them to do, file a service request?

Yes he filed a service request and the person he spoke to said we have to wait for the result within 60 days and call back if we wont get any.

I hope we'll get a positive response soon.

That's great! My AOS fee was unlocked two days after I was able to do the DS261, so hopefully you can do it early this week. It is good to feel you are moving and there's an end in sight!

Edit: I just thought to check the NVC site now and my IV fee just became available today (maybe yesterday as I wasn't on the site to check)- going to pay it now! That was about 4 days after the AOS was available to pay.

Finally Approved our NOA2 on May-12th.

NOA1 was Oct-22nd.

About 2 days ago, got this update on the website ""On May 10, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I130,........"

Congratulations.

I enjoy seeing people with a PD similar to me getting approved. It gives me great hope that, hopefully, mine will be around the corner.

Give me a "T", give me an "E", give me an "X", give me an "A", give me an "S"..... GoooooooooooooOOOOOOO TEXAS!

Your is around the corner; Perhaps you have called L2 support.

I had opened a service request on 4/23 and received a mail response 2 weeks later stating that I should hear something 'shortly'.

When I call them last week, they told me that a decision was imminent.

I've been seeing quite a bit that those who filed for a K3 visa have been getting case numbers assigned to them faster then if the I130 was filed alone? Any truth to that? Just curious to see how soon I can expect a case number. I'm shooting for the middle of June as the best bet, but I hope for some reason we get it sooner because of our K3 application....any merit to that rumor?!
