Austin, just out of curiosity, how did you know that the NVC received your case? Did you just call randomly? My USCIS status never update that my case was shipped and I never got any notification from anywhere. I was just calling randomly on Friday- was that what you were doing?

Sorry, I'm not Austin :D but I think he got the shipment update from USCIS and called a few days later. It was a similar experience for me. Agent Gus told me that they had received my case and scanned it in on the very day I called.

I was supposed to call again yesterday to see if maybe I was lucky enough to get a case #, but I was pretty burned out from a busy week at work so went to bed early. It's a public holiday here in the UK on Monday, so I'm going to call then.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

For those still waiting for approval, when you check the status of your case on the USCIS website does it say "Initial Review"? If so, when was the last time that information was updated? Mine says it was last updated on 23 October.

I ask this because from what I can figure my application has not been touched at all since it was submitted, is there a way of knowing if it has been assigned to an officer or is "moving"?

Mine still says in 'Initial Review'. I filed on October 4, 2013 and the date in my portfolio is March 13, 2014 for when my case was last touvhed. I believe that is when NSC received our case from the transfer. Other than that, no movement. I filed a service request and was told I should hear something within 15 days, which would put me at May 9, 2014. But then I called back to check if there was any update on my case number and the CS rep told me it could take up to 30 days to get back to me about the service request. Ugh. I hate this system. Good luck to you! Hopefully we will both see some approvals soon.

Calling them up on Monday? I think Mondays are the busiest. :bonk:

I tried calling them up last Monday. I couldn't even get connected until the evening time.

I couldn't even feel my index finger from pressing the redial button so many times.

I know I should look at NVC April board, but if someone here know about I-864 plz tell me. I started checking the next stage and Im just wondering how we can find a poverty line. I googled poverty line 2013 and that's it? Or NVC will tell us the amount of the poverty line? We dont need a joint sponsor if we get more than 125% of poverty line right? But I dont know the exact amount of that poverty line.

Thanks! I am concerned the service request might conflict or screw up the congressional. Any thoughts on that? (I didnt realize an electronic service request was available until after i put in the congressional inquiry, or I would have done that first :)
