So we were unlucky enough to get an unhelpful Tier 2 after waiting an hour, who told us that the website is wrong and they take 9 - 12 months to process and would not put in a service request for us - fortunately I remembered reading about this situation happening to another member earlier this month and had to find it to show my other half to calm him down! Was probably the same darn rep!

So we will phone again tomorrow and hope for better service.

That stinks :(

But you don't need to speak to a tier 2 to file a service request. Tier 1 reps will do it for you. (I filed one through a tier one the other week).

Also, you don't need to wait an hour either. Just follow this:

"When you dial 1800 number, press 1,2,2,2 and someone will answer your call in 30 seconds"

Then file the request with the tier 1- no need to wait for a tier 2. It took me literally 5 minutes to do it last week.

I had hoped we could just file it simple and easy with the tier 1 but because we don't have a US address he said he was not able to put it into the system for us and that we had to speak to a tier 2 about it :(

:( No way! That is so odd. I wonder what difference it makes whether you have a US address or not? Really strange. Who knows- maybe you are already approved and don't know it. That is what happened to me- you never know, it seems a lot of people weren't having their case status online updated.

I know right but there are a lot of ways USCIS is strange

Hoping it is as you say and we are approved without even knowing :) (and will know soon lol)

I see what people mean about NVC's number being busy. Just tried twice on Skype and both times the call cut off saying "busy"!

I was going to call them during my lunch hour, but McDonalds was calling my name :( gonna have to wait until the early hours of the morning now >.<

And gosh, I can't believe there are still a lot of people waiting for their USCIS approval :( even worse that when trying to sort it out, they're met with resistance and rudeness... unbelievable.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

Dude, I wish I knew for certain, but it just seems like it's been sooner than 15 days for most recent service requests.

I would say if you don't hear back from your requests or they give a standard "security checks" response, it's time to get senators/congressmen involved.

Hey, do you mean you got NVC case number or something:)?

Since we received an approval letter from USCIS, we have not done anything. But maybe it's better to contact NVC for getting a case number after few weeks:)?
