I filed a service request, and an expedite. However, I haven't received a response to either yet.

So it seems this was just normal processing, either that, or they got tired of my other half badgering them every day.

Many service centers don't reply to your service request or expedite request. They simply approve your case instead.

Your spouse called them up every day!? I might have to do that at the NVC stage. LOL

How long did it take for your case to get to NVC and have you been given a case number from them yet ?

Since your case is at NSC, it'll probably take 2-3 weeks for them to forward your case to NVC. Once NVC has received your case, it'll take about a month for them to assign you a case number (due to a backlog). :bonk:

I hope they speed up and assign us case numbers faster. NVC employees need to drink more coffee and RedBull!

You may want to join the NVC Filers - April 2014 group for more information. Some Oct filers (myself included) have migrated to this group. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/488577-nvc-filers-april-2014/

Yes, every day, they even asked him to not call as much. LOL!!!

He said ok, no probs, will speak to you again tomorrow.

So they definitely keep track of the calls.

I also filed an I-129F, and vaguely recollect reading something about this speeding up your case at NVC, although, I'm not sure where I read this. Do you know anything about it ?

Quick question anyone about RFE passport photo which we had to send in for my husband the applicant..we got a notification today that they received it and will be back with a decision within 60 days..could this be true? Is this just a generic email they send or could it take this long to approve now? It's over 6 months now..so I'm worried..thanks again everyone :-)

We have the exact same update right now. It's a generic response. How many days did they give you guys to respond to RFE? Most of the people get approved within few days after RFE response. Let me know when you get any update.

Hey dee&vee thanks for the response again, I hope I am replying to you correctly I'm on my iPad its acting up when I try reply..anyway yes I found out off my husband we had until July 7 to respond so I don't know where he got April 26 from..he is working away from home and I am in rainy Ireland so i rely on him for all the info so it's hard etc but he got the info in the post Monday and the receipt email came in just there.

Did you get a response also from USCIS? Do you think if they were seeking more evidence like photos and letters or whatever they would have asked in that letter right? Do you think we could be approved soon? I really hope so.

I will keep you up dated of course as I find out more..you let me know also so we can keep track of them to make sure we are not left behind :-) :-) thanks for the reply again!

Ok thanks for the update. I believe that if they needed anything more, they would have just asked for it all together. I could be wrong, just assuming that they would ask for everything in one letter. Let's hope for best and hope we both get approved soon.

For the people who got RFE. Please let me know how long does it take for the document to arrive in the mail?

I checked the status online and it shows it was mailed on April 15th, but there is an update on April 18th.

has anyone tried to call customer service and have had any luck finding out what type of evidence they need?

Was your I-129F approved also? I also filed one and it was approved the same day as my I-130. I honestly never heard anything about it speeding anything up (although wouldn't that be great)?

I actually called NVC yesterday because I wanted to know which petition would go through, the I-130 or the I-129F so I can be prepared. The guy said if they were matched up (which obviously mine were since they were approved on the same day), they would cancel the I-129F and process the I-130. So since that would be the case, I don't see how it would speed anything up. If they get them both, they just cancel one and the other goes normally.

How are all of you filing service requests? I've tried to call and file 2 but no one will let me file one. I don't understand why we haven't been approved yet? PD 10/4, transfer 3/12 to NSC. :(

Call the 800 number and press 1,2,2,2. This will let you speak with CS Rep. Ask him to put in a SR for you as you are out of normal processing time frame. Good luck!
