Hello Vermont all filers, has anyone received approval from this office yet? My husband filed for me Oct 23rd 2013.

I know I may be ahead of myself as its not the 6 month mark till next week.

Best of luck one and all!!

Thanks in advance for your feedback :-) :-) :-D

Yes- I was approved at VSC on April 11th. Took 6 months and 10 days for the approval. I got the hard copy in the mail yesterday the 16th. But I live in Vermont, so maybe other had had approvals maiiled to them and it'd take longer to get. HOWEVER, my online case status is still to this moment in Initial Review. You never know, you could have been approved because it doesn't look like their online system has been updated for at least over a week (unless it is just my case?)!

Wow congratulations to all the approvals!!!!!!!!!!! :) I am beginning to think that the folks who were not transferred and sent directly to the service centers will have a long wait. I came to this conclusion after reading the emails someone had from the USCIS. At any rate we haven't waited that long but my patience is beginning to run thin. I can only imagine how I will be several months from now if the wait is long.

Hello AmberG, fantastic news for you congratulations. Well that has given me more confidence in my application. My husband applied for me from Maryland,

I am living in Ireland (waiting!) so he will have to check his mail, I think im premature thinking ill get it approved before the full 6 months, I would say early May for

me. Thank you for replying to me on this subject as I was worried Vermont was behind the rest (just after reading other peoples posts on this forum).

Again congratulations :dancing::dancing: and best of luck!!!

That's weird, because someone on here told me that even if you use a lawyer, USCIS will mail you a copy of the notice too. I am also willing to bet they misplaced your marriage certificate copy, because mine wasn't the best... you couldn't even see the seal on it because the light from the copier blinded it out!

If I were you, I would send in a certified copy from the court house. They can't claim that that is illegible :)

I agree about I should get a copy. Probably just slow.

About the court house...you crack me up. We got married in the middle of the Colombia. Courthouse? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! It was hell to get a Notary to certify a copy of the birth certificate. I appreciate the kind advice it just cracked me up because so many of us are used to "first world" services and resources. If you have never been to a third world country, go. It will give you a greater appreciation of how lucky we really are.

We are in the same situation. We havent received copy for RFE but our lawyer received it. Did your lawyer sent you a scanned copy at least for your records?

I think USCIS is trying to save money on postal services. lol
