Hi All,

I recieved an email from UCIS on 23/10/2013 saying my interview had finally been scheduled for the 4/11/2013 and the letter had been posted to me on 22/10/2013. This letter still has not arrived so am just wondering if I should be concerned by that. In the event I dont get it next week I am planning to print out the email and go to the interview with that. Is any one able to give me some details as to what is included on that letter as just concerned I will miss something otherwise..

Nearly there with this process but there seems to always be some kind of issue with one aspect or another

Any help much appreciated

Do print out the email. Your name should be on the list anyway so it should not be a major problem if you don't have the letter.

Did you add your spouse to the interview list? If not, you should do it if you want to both attend: http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/visa_contact_form.html then you will both be on the list and it will all go very smoothly!

Good luck for the interview, let us know how it goes!

Hey,

Yeah the interview was a piece of cake in the end . They barely looked at any of our documents and in fact said we didnt need joint sponsorship so didnt even review any of the affadavit form my mother in law did for us. My wife has already gone back to LA in September so will be leaving here on the 28th.

My CEAC status says issued already so I imagine I will hear from the couriers quite soon! Relieved the process is now finally done!

Do you know about how to get the social security number ? Or if we just wait for that. It sounds like the sort of thing that could take any amount of time !

There must be a group of people LA who all went through this process, maybe we should all get together for a drink before xmas!

Congrats on your approval!

About Social Security number, it's tricky. In form DS-230 which was replaced by DS-260 recently, there is a box we ticked to ask to be assigned a Social Security Number. Was that the case for you?

If not, you should go to a local office and ask for one to be assigned with passport + green card and other documents like that!
