Sorry ahead of time for this one but not experienced enough to have probably thought it thru completely. Sitting here reading about situations, lost papers, taking what is required then something new being ask for, my rep. wont talk to me, long delays, etc etc. what is the farthest someone has tried to push any agency or representative?

Has any one ever set any kind of signed petitions in motion to address any of this? I know everyone thinks (government) but....that does give us the rights to question since we do pay the salaries. I know of no other group of people this affects more than the ones that write on here I dont know that it would ever do any good but was wondering if anyone had tried. I know here at work we get emails all day (been around the world) etc one i remember was about the prayer in school issue and others, every location has someone they answer to, can only imagine if that location got 1000s of messages addressing a problem, think they may get the hint?

Like i say sorry if this seems stupid but seems so many of these people are getting shafted by a government keeping families apart sometimes without even listening.

Be gentle with replies (im still new) :innocent:

I don't really understand your question. There are some horror stories, yes, but there are far more success stories than bad ones.

It's a process we have to go through. Period. It's a good process that helps monitor who immigrates to this country. It's a fair (most of the time) and pretty clear. The expectations for waiting are not some hidden dark secret.

The middle east has some high fraud countries, and so that will tack MORE time on to your wait...

Why would you push anything yet thought - you JUST filed in NOvember...You haven't been waiting AT ALL really.

Am I missing something?

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

I pushed and did receive positive results, my congressman's liason knows us personally (unfortunately will be leaving office with the new term) I am also part of AMERICAN FAMILIES UNITED which has been highlighted in another thread. I would think they only people who stick it out to see any legislation move forward are those with problematic cases, otherwise people just wade through to the end of their own journey and come out unscathed.

I found it pretty hilarious that someone referred to IMBRA as a travesty when people like Girona have a case that is so beyond a REAL travesty its sickening.

No not me pusing thru i know im new and will be waiting but I DO work for a govt agency if i continued to loose someones papers you can be sure i and alot of others would hear about it.

I also know there is so much fraud but how can you prove something when they wont look at your evidence or give you the benefit of a doubt?

And if a rep. is busy why cant he reschedule at another time you would think he would want to talk to someone from his distract that will be doing the voting.

Attitude of the ones doing interviews, we have alot of public contact here to, let one of us talk wrongly to the public and it will make the papers.

Anyway i was just curious as to how far as a group they had pushed not to individually push thru one case but to help all those concerned

I have to agree with caroline on this one. you havent even began to feel the wait yet with the visa process, its a long one to come. the visa process is ATLEAST a 6-8 month wait, and its not bc of who you are, where your from, what you pay ect , its a process everyone has to go thru regardless. at this point there isnt much you can do to push service, when your past your 90-120 day marks, then you can push. until then, welcome, and learn as much as you can about the process.
