biometric tomorrow, have a question on how they approve AOS

We got an RFE last week concerning our I-485 and it was something simple (I didn't include proof of citizenship for my dad, our joint sponsor). It was mailed off Friday and our biometric is tomorrow so I'm guess it shouldn't slow anything down.

My question is, do they approve the I-485 separately from the I-131 and I-765? Because on the website, those 2 cases are in the "initial review" stage, while the I-485 is in the 'need more evidence' status.

As I mentioned, they've already received the evidence i've sent and the biometrics is to be done tomorrow meaning my mistake hopefully didn't cause any delay anyway, but even if it has, is the AP and employment authorization not affected?

AP, EAD, and AOS are completely different matters. An AOS RFE should normally not affect the EAD/AP.

Aug. 6, 2015: NOA1 (CSC)
Sept. 4, 2015: Biometrics Appointment
Feb. 10, 2016: ROC approved

Aug. 26, 2016: BBG application sent (permit to retain German citizenship)
Nov. 21, 2016: BBG approval notice received (p/u at German Honorary Consulate, OKC: Feb. 6, 2017)
Dec. 8, 2016: N-400 sent
Dec. 12, 2016: Priority Date (NBC)

Jan. 9, 2017: Biometrics Appointment

Aug. 31, 2017: In-Line for Interview

Sept. 6, 2017: Interview Scheduled

Oct. 16, 2017: Interview

Oct. 25, 2017: Oath Appointment Letter received
