Our tracking went really well frankly.

Interview on 10/22

Case Created 10/23 (CEAC)

Issued 10/24 (CEAC)

ustraveldoc.com showed "with post" (post being the consulate) 10/24 until 10/28

Changed to "Received from consular section...being processed for delivery" on 10/29 (ustraveldocs)

Changed to "Ready for pickup" on 10/30 (ustraveldocs)

She also received both a text message and an email stating that the passport was at the CITIC bank location chosen and was ready for pickup...and needed to be picked up within 15 days.

Passport is in Nanning today, 10/30....so 8 days after the interview. She's going to Nanning tomorrow to get her passport.

Then....travel to the US on 11/12! Total time from I-129F filing to Entry should be about 244 days...so almost exactly 8 months. No complaints.

DJ&L - I'm so happy to read of news like yours, when 'things' work as they were designed.

For me and my wife, we had numerous failure points along the way, but that visa packet got there, in the end. I note I made some new friends with the employees at ustraveldocs China, so maybe that's a plus?

Onward and upward, Excelsior !

Thanks Darnell.

Yeah, thought I'd share a "success" story...haha. Maybe it's all "working as intended" now...since the process is still, relatively speaking, new.

After passing the interview on 10/07, the embassy informed us that we never submitted a DS-230 (which is BS and doesn't make any sense). We re-submitted the document and our case has since updated a few times, but always showing administrative processing. It's frustrated me so much that I've actually booked a plane ticket to China, with every intentions of asking about 50,000 questions at the embassy.

How long after the interview did they notify you? It's BS that they asked you to do that when you obviously couldn't have gotten that far in the process without submitting it.

We just had our interview this week, and we're still a little skeptical and won't believe it until her visa is in hand.

I called just now......this lady kept saying she couldn't hear me and hung up on me 3 times. I didn't give up. Finally, I got to speak before she says "I couldn't hear you, please call back". HAHHAHA....

Passport still with Embassy, she told me to wait for couple more days.
