My wife's visa arrived at the Citic Bank in Nanning today, so 13 days from the interview.

For what it's worth, the CEAC site is stuck at "Printed", while UStravelDocs shows ready for pickup. USTravelDocs went straight from "no status update" to "ready for pickup".

The online systems are marginally functional, but since the consulate didn't close during the gube'rment shutdown and we had an interview and have the visa, I won't whine.

Our status has not changed, called CGI yesterday, they said it was in route, she will call or go to bank tomorrow to check to see if it has arrived. I'm thinking this status system is all screwed up, not good as I heard if the visa is not picked up at the bank in 10 days they will send it back. Not sure if that is true or not.

My sister in law picked ours up yesterday but USTRAVELDOCS still says it is waiting to be shipped.....

We are happy to have it in hand though. Nothing left to do now except climb on the plane next week!

My advice to anyone waiting, dont be afraid to call CITIC bank directly......

i'm not impressed with this ustraveldocs tracking system, at all. I learned more, talking with a human on the telepone, those ustraveldocs contact #s.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

PhillyJon,

How did you know it was there? My fiance is in Liuzhou and her passport will be sent to one of the Nanning locations. She needs to know it's actually there before she leaves Liuzhou.

Thanks!!

Dave

Our CEAC status still shows as Issued - Your visa is in final processing.

Our ustraveldocs status is Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery

She went to the bank and picked it up today, no notification that it was ever ready to be picked up so who knows how long it was sitting there at the bank. I did hear that if it is not picked up in 10 days they send it back to the embassy so I would not depend on either of those sites to tell you when it is there, either call or go to the bank and ask.

It is possible to call in to that branch of CITIC and inquire about it. Expect mixed results, when calling. I had better results when calling USTRAVELDOCS helpdesk #, and talking with a human. IMO, the Guangzhou office knows more than the USA #. Whatever internal system they use at ustraveldocs, it's not updating the website in real time, but they (the call center folk) seem to have updated info.
