maybe. if convenient, go in person at that CITIC bank, afternoons, inquire face to face.

Nota.Bene.: That's a change at ustraveldocs - so that handover actually describes that the passport and visa packet left the IV Unit and a courier for CITIC Bank has it.

Oh yeah: "Your passport is ready for pickup." She will pick it up tomorrow on her way to work. So nice. :) Thanks much to all of you for your input. Darnell, you da man. dancin5hr.gif

Got a call at 2PM from CITIC Bank in Changsha and they told my wife her passport was there and ready for pick-up.. Yes Yes Yes finally.... But on CGI's Track & Retrieve My Passport web site page it still says: "Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery"

Note: Her interview appointment in Guangzhou was on Jan 29, 2014... so it was 2 weeks, even with the Chinese New Year's holiday...

Passport now in hand. Oh YES!!! Same here - Interview Jan 29, Passport Feb 11. Wow - our ladies must have passed each other in the waiting room! Interviews and passport delivery is flowing nicely. Now to deal with the green card issue once she gets here. I hear that is all screwed up right now...

Yes... they must have... I'm sure if my wife could see a picture of your lady she would remember her, I was outside waiting on my wife and she was the last one to come out, so I may have even told your fiancée congratulations when she came out of the consulate. I check on the CGI's Track & Retrieve My Passport web site page today and it says "passport already picked up" so that was fast...

Hey folks - I've been browsing this thread for a while so I figure I should chip in...

My wife's interview was on Feb 6 and it was approved. Two weeks later (in AP the whole time) we received an email saying we need to send in the notarized marriage certificate (they didn't ask for it during the interview). Long story short, we dropped off the certificate to a Citic Bank in Beijing on Feb 24, on Feb 28 they received the document.

On March 6 we received two calls from the GZ Consulate, after my repeated emails (my wife was 35 weeks pregnant at the time, and Chinese hospitals are just downright scary). They agreed to expedite our visa processing.

Next day (Match 7, Friday) CEAC status changed to Issued. That was fast. The following Monday after 11am Beijing time the passport status changed to "Passport received from consular section and is being processed for delivery". Sending an email to passportstatus@ustralvedocs.com yielded "Origination Scan".

Another two business days passed. This morning I called the Citic Bank on Financial Street in Beijing (one of the so-called Expedited Pick Up Location), it's not there yet.

Browsed this thread from Page 1. Looks like everyone got their the famous "Ready for Pickup" status in 2-3 business days. I hope we get it tomorrow, Day 3.

Funny they say you can pick up your passport at one of the 5 "Expedited Pick Up Locations" ON THE SAME DAY the consulate releases the passport and visa packet. I'm going to assume I read it wrong - that's only possible if your case is processed IN THE SAME CITY! I have to say though, the "same day" claim didn't include a fine print. I was excited for nothing.

ya, it's my understanding it must be the same city as the consulate/embassy.

Still, CITIC BANK COURIER is really fast, once it's picked up from Guangzhou IV.

Darnell - Just picked it up today. Passport status was updated to Ready for Pickup 33 minutes pass midnight last night. So basically the 3-business day rule remains true for most people - 3 b-days between Origination Scan and Ready for Pickup.

so, it's good ustraveldocs and CITIC bank courier are talking to each other. I hate ustraveldocs with a passion.

huh - i dunno - CITIC bank open 7 days/week, courier runs 7 days/week. You might want to walk in on Sunday and ask about it, also asking with the boss at that branch, showing your document delivery coversheet that you reprinted from the ustraveldocs portal.

I called the branch last night (in the morning China time) and they don't have my passport yet. Also I called the Citic Bank in Guangzhou and was told the passport has shipped to Changsha on Mar. 12 and should be Changsha now. However, I don't know where it is and will call again tonight.
