How far in advance can I schedule the interview at USEM?

I just got the hard copy of the RFE today requested by TSC . Assuming everything else is in order, our I-129f will be approve soon. Here is my dilemma, I work in a hospital and only one staff member in our dept. is allowed to take a vacation. I want to attend my fiancee interview. I am hoping that we can fly back together . December and January are basically taken by my co-workers so the earliest I can fly to the Philippines is February . Assuming the I-129f is approve by Nov. do you guys think I can book Feb. for the interview date?

Once your petition is approved it will be forwarded to NVC, that process has slowed down dramatically and is taking a month or more (sometimes two months) before the petition is send to Manila and you receive the MNL #.

Without even trying you could very well end up with a February interview date ;)

Even if everything went quickly you can drag feet up to a year to do the visa application, just contact the embassy and ask that they extend the validity date. The embassy will extend the date 4 months at a time up to a year total.

Correct me if I am wrong.

When you go to http://cgifederal.force.com/ to schedule your appointment date, the only dates open are the current month and the following month. Any month after that is not open to appointments.

Please keep in mind that some dates are only known after receipt of another document.
For example, the USPS Form 3811. The stamped receiving date was not know until the original Form 3811 was received on 07/13/2013 1:30 p/m CST.

Yup that is how it works, most of the time.

But I still don't see an issue for what the OP wants to do, with NVC being as slow as they currently are it will be end of Dec or into Jan before they will be ready and have the MNL #. Even then nothing says they have to schedule the interview just because they have logged onto the site, they can keep waiting and watching until February dates start appearing.

April 22, 2013 - Receive the NOA1

July 29, 2013 - Approved NOA2 ( 82 working days)

July 30, 2013 - USCIS shipped my documents to NVC

Aug 5, 2013 - Arrived at NVC Building

Aug 13, 2013 - Got the NVC case # via PHONE

Aug 14, 2013 - Got the Invoice # via PHONE

Aug 15, 2013 - Send my DS-3032 via Email

Aug 16, 2013 - AOS Pay

Aug 17, 2013 - Got an email to print the COVER SHEET

Aug 21, 2013 - send the AOS overnight at NVC
