Butler, a professor of religious studies at the University of Pennsylvania, said that Obama’s skin color is the reason Republican lawmakers have refused to fund Obamacare.

From the Twitter?

With someone translating it and writing about it ?

Cool !

Yes... the subject and policies do not matter..... he is multi-racial, therefore all that oppose Obama are racists....

I think only white, male, middle aged, heterosexual Christians with no disabilities and who are independently wealthy should be eligible for President since they are the only ones you can criticize without being some sort of "cist" or "phobe"

The concept of "protected classes" as President is flawed.

Well,

It's just funny that most of his opposition seem to hit him for stuff that GWB did. Where was the Tea party when Bush put the US in the recession? I mean, gun control has been on the table for a while, but when Clinton signed the anti-assault bill into law, there was no uprising. Everything they stand for or against has been in circulation for years, why would come out now and protest the new dude on the block a whopping month after he takes office?

Gary, we know you just hate Obama. It's not racist, that's just you.

It has to be because he's black of course.

No uprising? Are you kidding?

The 1994 U.S. House of Representatives election (also known as the Gingrich Revolution) was held on November 8, 1994, in the middle of President Bill Clinton's first term. As a result of a 54-seat swing in membership from Democrats to Republicans, the Republican Party gained a majority of seats in the United States House of Representatives for the first time since 1952 and a majority of votes for the first time since 1946.

yes.gif I'm not racist

FWIW the Tea Party formed after GWB or toward th eend of his administration in response to a lot of things he did that they did not like, which indicates his policies had a lot to do with it. They formed to challenge Republicans, not Democrats. They run against Republicans in the primaries.

Just for the record I think it's about the dumbest thing I've ever seen that there's more than 1 gun for every man woman and child in this country. Unfortunately, I'm only one person. I find it a little creepy at times people's obsession with guns. But it is the law and it's not changing anytime soon. Doesn't mean I have to like it.

Actually they formed back in 2004. The first protest was Feb 27 2009. A month after Obama took office. Not racist at all:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea_Party_protests#Tactics

On March 20, 2010, it was reported that protesters against proposed health care legislation used racial and anti-gay slurs. Gay Congressman Barney Frankwas called "**" and a "faggot several times."[133][134][135] Several black lawmakers said demonstrators shouted "the N-word" at them.[136]Congressman André Carson said that as he walked from the Cannon House Office Building with Representative John Lewis and his chief of staff, amid chants of "Kill the bill" he heard the "n-word" about fifteen times coming from several places in the crowd: "One guy, I remember he just rattled it off several times. Then John looks at me and says, 'You know, this reminds me of a different time.'"[137][138][133] Congressman Emanuel Cleaver said as he walked several yards behind Lewis, he distinctly heard "***", and he was also spat upon by a protester while walking up the stairs of the Cannon Building, although whether the spitting was intentional has been questioned.[134][133][138]

I thinks it's sad you need a gun to define your manhood.

That should read "It was falsely reported."

Marvin I can't believe you are still believing that story, even after a $100,000 was offered to anyone who produced the tape, no one came forward.

if you can scrounge it up, post it here.

All those people.all that anger, all those cellphones, all those news stations and not one person has a clip of it.

HeII we even have two clips of Kennedy getting shot... but these "N" words were flying all day at that tea party event and no one picked it up..........

it was like a ghost that appears on camera.... only in reverse.

Representative Heath Shuler of North Carolina, who is white, backed up his colleagues, telling the Hendersonville (N.C.) Times-News that he too heard slurs.[138] Richard Trumka, president of the AFL-CIO, corroborated Lewis' version of events during a confrontation with Breitbart at a Harvard Institute of Politics forum by saying, "I watched them spit at people, I watched them call John Lewis the n-word. [...] I witnessed it. I saw it in person. That's real evidence."[141][142][143] One of Representative Anthony Weiner’s staffers reported a stream of hostile encounters with tea partiers roaming the halls of Congress. In addition to mockery, protesters left a couple of notes behind. According to the New York Daily News, one letter "asked what Rahm Emanueldid with Weiner in the shower, in a reference to the mess around ex-Rep Eric Massa. It was signed with a swastika, the staffer said. The other note called the congressman "Schlomo Weiner."[130]

Is that good enough for you Danno?

They challenged the eligibility for the highest office for a man born in the United States of America to an American citizen mother and a non-American citizen father. Why? Because they (falsely and against sufficient evidence to the contrary) claimed he was born outside of the United States. Now they want to run for president a man who was positively born outside the Untied States to an American citizen mother and a non-American citizen father. That right there is all you need to know to evaluate the claim that Tea Party opposition has not risen because a black man moved into the White House. They're a bunch of racists. That's all there's to it. And yes, some black suckers were trying to ride the wave to fame but landed in infamy.

Oh I am aware of the gossip, even Don Lemon swore he had seen the tape and would produce the clip after commercial, that was like years ago and we still wait.

But you are free to proceed on the rumor if you like, most people realize if it had been said over and over, someone would have picked it up on mic.

But maybe the News Agencies are just giving cover to the tea Party Or maybe they suddenly tired of doing those stories about race all the time.

And who needs the 100 grand reward anyway... with the Obama economy and all.
