Hello !!

I am back from my trip to the UK and our 2nd wedding. It was great fun !!!!

Still jetlagged...

On Feb. 15, we got our approval, and our written NOA2 on Feb. 18th, but nothing yet from NVC. I was wondering when to give them a call just to check on things...All I have is our case # from VSC.

Will that be enough information???

-and-

Would calling on Wednesday be too soon? It will be three weeks to the day.

Thanks !

-Rose

What is it saying when you call the automated number on your case??

Have you had a look at the CR-1 Flowchart for NVC and also the link in my signature for timesavers and shortcuts?

the second link in aussie's sig is going to help you out quite a bit, and i totally second her pointing you at the NVC flowchart... it lays things out very well and is very easy to see exactly what's happening. i've made a bunch of copies of it and both my wife and I will be using it to check off things as they happen. :) ttyl,

mich

Let me show you how to get your tax returns the easy way

aussiewench's thread for kicking butt in the NVC ('cause i'm too lazy to keep looking it up - haha)

Our DS-3032 email to the NVC

02 Jan 2006 - Married

...----===::: CR-1 :::===---...

22 May 2006 - Case # Assigned @ NVC

14 Jul 2006 - DS-230 Package Received by USC

We stopped pursuit of CR-1 to pursue K3/AOS. For us, both required the same document, we could only have one valid copy, and the K3 was moving faster.

See profile for the details up to and in between the events listed here.

...---===::: K3 :::===---...

17 May 2006 - Date NVC says petition shipped to embassy

18 May 2006 - Case # Assigned @ NVC

01 Jul 2006 - Packet "3" received from embassy

18 Jul 2006 - Medical

21 Sept 2006 - K3 Interview Date (APPROVED)

27 Sept 2006 - Received Visa

06 Oct 2006 - Arrives in the USA! Finally home together. :)

Hi,

Thanks ! I have seen the flowchart and it's fantastic !!!!

I haven't called the automated number yet. I take it that it'll tell me where my case is at this point???

Do I input my case # from VSC into it, or is there another number to input? That is what is a wee bit confusing...

Thanks !!!

-Rose

PS-Thank you for the birtday message !! :D

Call the automated number. When you do you can either use your CIS (NOA) receipt number from vermont or if you already know your NVC case number. which Im assuming by your post that you dont know yet, you can use that. If you look in the timesavers link here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=117 you will find in the first post, step by step instructions on the automated system. By following the prompts and keying in your CIS receipt number, it will tell you your case number. Write it down. It will also tell you if anything has been generated and mailed out already.
