Hi,

My father got a Green Card from a family member, and he filed an application for me and i'm now in USA with a Green Card.

However, my father doesn't want to live in USA because he already has a good job in another country and he doesn't want to start new job here, and he got the Green Card just to file an application for me and get the Green Card.

I have now my Green Card and everything is perfect for me, and he wants to leave, and of course his Green Card will be revoked because he won't be living in USA.

So, since he's my sponsor or petitioner. If his Green Card has been revoked, would that affect my status or the naturalization process?

Thanks

As far as I know his only liabilities are that you do not become a public charge meaning getting Government Help such as EBT and other benefits since he is/was your original sponsor with Affidavit of Support.

Now that you have your own GC your status is not dependent on him. Your responsibilities are your own.

Simplified Answer: That should not affect your status.
