Dear freinds please help me on this one.

I was approved 28th of July 2013

I paid 165$ fees on july 2nd 2013

POE JFk on july 13th 2013

Did not receive my GC welcome letter yet.(8th of october 2013)

I am tensed.

Every time I call uscis I am asked to wait for 2 weeks.

And I call again and again wait for two weeks.

I got ssn easily by applying at local ssn office.

I had opted it in my ds 230 but it did not come.

So went and re applied in the nearby office.

Anybody in similar situation or wh knows the solution?

My friend 2 weeks after me and entered 6 weeks after me already received her GC.

What does your status say on the uscis.gov website about your card? Have you asked for a tier 2 supervisor to find out what is going on? Did you monies clear the bank? Is your address fully notied and they know where to deliver. Since you are a new immigrant the mailman may not know you are there? Have seen green cards returned because of that.

The address is not the issue as my husband was staying here before i came and that I have got my ssn on the same address as I have given in the immigration process.

Bank records show that money is deducred for immigration fees and also we have a notice from uscis saying received.

It takes minimum 1 month from POE but can take up to 3 or more.

Your endorsed visa in your passport is your temporary visa for up to a year. The USCIS had a huge mix up a few months ago with CR1 receiving the wrong green cards and needing to fix that. It delayed everything. Because you're at the 3 month mark, I suggest calling several tier 2 and asking for a service request to find out what is going on. It's possible the gov't shut down didn't help the green card situations.

I am in the exact same situation which makes it reassuring.

Paid ELIS immigrant fee in mid June

Wife came into country on approved I-130 with I-551 stamp on July 11 from Houston.

According to elis website, case received on July 19 and "optimized"

According to USCIS card production began Aug 9. On website is says call if you have not received your card in 30 days.

No card after 30 days.

Called USCIS, they said we will do inquiry and get back to you in 10 business days.

Got back to me and said "please wait 60 more days to receive your card"

It's been about 40 days since then and I have not received it

New update this week is case on elis went from "optimized" to "reopened"...not sure why it skipped "closed"

No update on USCIS website.

I scheduled infopass appointment for two weeks from now.

On another note, my cousin came into US on same spousal visa in May and just now received her green card.

Hang in there.

when you call back into USCIS, talking with a Tier 2 Human, an ISO today or tomorrow,

ask them to put in a call to ELIS support on your behalf,

and ask for all of these 'receipt numbers' the IO at the infopass was asking for.

It's a big deal, to get ELIS support to assist you, so bear that in mind when you talk with an ISO on the telephone.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Thank you all for the input.

After first info pass did not help I asked for elis support serice.

the lady onthe phone said my fees were paid and she transferred to the 2 tier again.

THE SECRET WAS REAVELED THEN.

At my POE i submitted my IV packet to the officer---he tore it open----stamped something ----and returned it to me.

I did not know that it was not appropiate action.

I was having it with me till yesterday.

I told this to 2 tier on phone and he said thats the reason for no GC.

I confirmed with other freind of mine who entered on CR1 who sadi the packet wasn't returned to her.

2 tier suggested infopass again which I did and they directed me to the airport again.

I went to JFK my POE and entered the Deffered action department of customs and border protection and submitted my packet.

my countdown starts now.

yup, A-File reclamation is one of those big deals, a step in back-room ELIS processing.

I think if you had mentioned back at post #1 what was what with your visa packet, we could have given you different advice. The clock does reset for you, sorry you're having all these problems.

GOOD ON YOU for talking with a Tier 2 Human, an ISO. It's never a trivial task to reach one.
