hey guys

just posted on AOS cos I couldnt believe how quick our biometrics came (12 days after mailing in our forms!!!) , but also wanted to share some more news bout what else we did today....

We been spotting this house and went to an open day a while back and totally fell in love, its got a full basement, 4 beds, 2 baths, a lovely triangle shaped garden and has gorgeous darkish wooden floors throughout, its truly amazing... and it is in my hubbys area (where he grew up) only trouble at that time was, it was just about $15,000 over what we could afford.

We made an offer for $15K less but they were only willing to drop 10 which was a lot already....but still....

Anyhow, we thought and thought and thought bout it.... and even though we visited a few more, our mind couldnt get off this one... so this week, my hubby and his Mom discuss stuff and he decided to cash in a bunch of his stocks he owns that his Mom and him saved for him since he was a kid, and we could afford the house.....

so..... today we went back and signed the contract and all going well we should be moving on the 4th of April.....boy am I excited....and wow, what a thing to do huh, does that guy love me or what?

Today is also our 1 month anniversary.... 1 month since I became his Mrs... and boy am I proud to be!

Yes we have our downs, but love love love is here to shine..........

Well, I gotta go draw plans of what stuff goes where now and what else we need to fill our home!

Oh and did I mention it is a block away from a school that is about to reopen in the fall.....totally great for our 9yr old boy but also I used to work as a paraeducator and afterschoolclubleader...so I am gonna try to get a job there..... wish me luck for more great things to come! :star:

12/27/05 - apply for SSN

02/03/06 - receive SSN

02/04/06 - WE TIE THE KNOT :):)

02/18/06 - finally got everything in the post (certified mail via USPS)

03/04/06 - biometrics letters received for 2x AOS & EAD

03/13/06 - biometrics appointment in Omaha, NE

03/14/06 - both AOS and EAD got touched... as a result of biometrics?!

06/09/06 - EAD approved

08/03/06 - AOS interview - APPROVED!

11/05/06 - found out we were pregnant :):):):):):):)

07/09/07 - Gabriella is born 7lbs 4oz. - 20 inch. long - an Angel sent from above

05/02/08 - Immigration again... removing conditions this time....

05/09/08 - My son received his extension letter

05/13/08 - I receive my NOA1 - here for at least another year!

05/28/08 - getting my biometrics done

09/30/08 - GC APPROVED - CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic news!!! :luv::dance::whistle:

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

I-751 posted on 6th August 2009

Received on 7th August 2009 in VT

Sheridan, if you're financing over 80%, see if you guys can pay your PMI upfront. I'm not a mortgage broker, but I went and saw that financial lady Suze Orman & she said you could save THOUSANDS by doing it that way.

oh, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Sheridan..and douglas..a big congrats..we closed on ours on feb. 27..it is a great feeling to get the keys handed to you and walk through your home and know it is yours.. :thumbs:

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

what is the PMI upfront thingie? I've been looking it up but it says its for having 5% downpayment or less, we actually have over 30% downpayment for it.... so made me wonder if in our case that could apply?

Actually meeting with lender tomorrow to go through the last details, so I guess she'll get a bunch of questions from me LOL

Wonderful news!

OH and bout the PMI, if you put over 20% down make sure they dont add that PMI, you are not supposed to have to pay it if you put that much down. We did on ours too, but at that time, didnt know about the more than 20% and not having to pay it rule and ended up with it becuz we didnt know better.

Make sure and ask bout it tho.
