Was two original photocopies of NSO Birth Certificate will be enough to bring to the US? I heard I need some for the adjustment status.

07-26-2013: GOT MNL # THROUGH EMAIL (NVC)

08-08-2013: 1ST DAY OF MEDICAL AT SLEC (HOLIDAY THE NEXT DAY AND OVER THE WEEKEND)

08-12-2013: 2ND DAY FOR IMMUNIZATION (4 SHOTS)

08-19-2013: APPOINTMENT INTERVIEW / CANCELLED DUE TO SEVERE FLOOD

08-23-2013: RESCHEDULED INTERVIEW / PUT UNDER ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW DUE TO MY J1 VISA BEFORE

Two will be fine, as will one. All you need is copies in the US. No one will take an original like the PI does.

Thanks Dave. How about baptismal certificate? do i need it for the wedding?

Prepare for AOS, ROC and citizenship. Also, some State would require original birth certificates for State ID/ DL applications but they will give the original back unlike USCIS.

My wife had one certified copy she brought from the Philippines. Never was an issue. She is a US Citizen and in the military with that one copy. Baptismal certificate wasnt even required of my wife in the Philippines. Not required here either.

All good answers. Just think about this... how often are you required as a USC to show your birth cert? And was the original ever kept? Nope... Baptismal cert, AFAIK, doesn't mean squat here in the US of A.
