I am tired of reading hundreds or even thousands of old yahoo...FB...MSN...Whatsapp chat logs from when I first started talking to my fiancee in 2010/2011. If I were to print alllllll those chat logs to choose which ones to send in from 2010 to present, I'd kill about 10 trees....its just too much and I am overwhelmed as to what I should do. I want to send a couple pages each year to span through out those years to show progression of our relationship but I cant take reading all that anymore....Im even at a state of crying Im so freakin overwhelmed with all this...I want everything to be perfect...I dont want any RFE and I want it to go smoothly....Im sorry I just needed to vent but also still at a loss as how much is too much bc Im becoming OCD about this...HELP!!!!

Try a little logic. If you were the officer what would you do with a written mountain of this type of chat. Keep in mind these people are busy and at least one is working on your case. Send in a few pages from the beginning, a few from the middle and a few more recent pages.

Seems like every day someone is worrying about chat logs and its really not necessary to get all worried about it. While they are somewhat important, they are 'secondary' evidence. Personally, I sent in one page for every other month for 2 years (12 pages total) and I thought that was a lot. I would be more concerned with your passport, travel tickets, hotel receipts, phone bill records (all within the 2 year guidelines) and making sure you don't miss anything else on the required list. If you REALLY are worried use one of the K1 visa attorneys. I used one and know of a few others who did and didn't get ripped off and it made it much easier. Of course you can do it all yourself but, as you know, it can be very frustrating, etc. Pro's and con's for each method. Message me if you want the firm I used, it was very reasonable. Most of all, good luck to you!!!!

Awww....I can certainly understand what you mean. My fiance and I met in 2009 and when we first started going through all the logs it was a completely daunting and overwhelming task. You don't have to include all chats, just give them a sample that represents your relationship, from beginning to present. Remember, this type of evidence is important but it is secondary. As was in our case, I see a lot of folks saying that their chat logs, phone logs, emails, etc. are never looked at and instead the officer focused on pictures, travel records, etc. (things that show you have been together). You'll get through it ;)

We only have 4 pics. Phone record from 2011 to present and my passport showing visits from 2009 to 2013. No emails, as we use whatsapp. That's all we have to submit. Will we be okay? Waiting for an interview date.

I know it's overwhelming but just try to take a step back and a deep breath and stop worrying. I had abt 18 months worth of chats. I was driving myself crazy too trying to decide what to do. I finally chose to just print 2 random pages from each month and call it good. I can't say this is always the case but when my husband gave them to the interviewing officer he just fanned through the pages quickly without even really looking at them. Just print out enough to show that you were chatting regularly throughout those years and you should be good. :)

People in USCIS will get annoyed with lots of sheets and thousands of chats, actually the chat although important aren't that indispensable....at the contrary it will cause more delays.

Only print the highlights of the chats and unite orderly in about 5 to 12 sheets only.

Remember, if it is simple and brief, is better. As Dobbietoo said, tickets, receipts and everything that shows you that have been together are more important than chats.

Good luck and regards!

PS. Same applies either for CR1 or K1

Honestly, not knowing myself how much to take, I highlighted the whole conversation, took it down to 7 point and put it in 4 columns across the page and printed double sided. it ended up being a lot less paper and now I have everything and I highlighted the times we started talking and some inbetween till now. My interview is on wednesday I keep fighting back and forth in my head "am I bringing too much? or am I bringing too little" the big answer is, you never know. It depends on each interviewer from what I have read so far.

Relax, do what you feel is necessary, but it's always better to have too much than too little, you don't have to submit it all, just what they ask for.

Good luck!

When I had to collect that evidence I decided to print out 1 thing for each month. We started dating in 2009 and I tried to pick the emails/messages/chats that could show that we knew each other well or that would talk about families and personal stuff. Don't go crazy because they won't have the time to read all of it anyways!

Good luck!

I hear you. I am currently swimming in the sea of chats, emails, apps, phone logs.

Printed it all out from 2009 - current.

4 years of communication is a lot more work than other's 6-12 months isn't it ?

I will be re -filing soon, still pulling out papers to make the stack thinner to not piss off the adjudicating

USCIS officer who has to scan all pages, but plenty so it gets seen by the CO, I am definitely front loading.

How much to send is too embassy specific and depends on your individual case and be careful to follow

just anyone's advice of sending just the minimum.
In my case the first time around the CO made statements such as " I am not convinced of a bona fide

relationship" and "what made you wake up one day and collect all these logs, it's too much I do not have time for this."

So I had to balance the CO's conflicting statements of " it's too much but not convinced but give me more."

I submitted the average amount the first time around.
We then were 16 months on AP after the interview and I traveled for the 4th time and personally submitted 12# of evidence.
It was accepted but CO complained she has no time to read "all that" yet refused to issue the visa

and returned our case.
I will send a stack of about 300 pages, am still sorting because we have to overcome her belief that we are not genuine.
That includes of course trip evidence from A-Z etc etc etc......

I will include about 100 photos.
In previously denied cases and high fraud countries (or certain Nationals residing in low fraud countries) it is a total

different ball game than the average petition.
Long story short.....I so hear you on the TIRED part !

Best wishes and a speedy visa journey.

I am right behind you by the end of this month with my submission. I hope.

Current I-129F are fast through CSC so I hope it will not fluctuate too much by the time I send ours off.

The pendulum always swings back and forth between the service centers as far as

time length to NOA2 is concerned, hoping to catch the fast wave.
