Ambassador of the US in Warsaw - Stephen Mull said that the processing time for USCIS is not extended, it's normal and takes 6-12 months.

Back in August 2012 they announced that instead of I-130s going to Vermont and California Service Centers as they had been previously, they would all go to NBC instead and then be routed to field offices from there. Now in October 2013, they're changing the office processing I-130s yet again. As announced in May at the AILA meeting they are routing all our petitions to the new center in Overland Park. That's a lot of upheaval in a pretty short timeframe, so it's no wonder their processing times have taken a bad hit.

hey all frst of all hiii

here is my introduction my case was filed in Feb n got NOA-1 on 5th Feb after tht in the nxt week i filed I-129F for K-3 VIsa and got tht NOA-1 on 17th Feb.

aftr a six mnths i contacted my senator to knw whr is my petition and i got a replied aftr a mnth tht my case was routed to NBC to Reno filed office ( my wife is frm REno,NEVADA) we took an Info-pass and make sure tht it is thr aur nt bt my both files r at local field office and consolidated thr. nw it has been completed 8 mnths and again we took an info pass last mnth the immigration officer who has our file said tht wait for 30-60 days !!!!!

its already completed 1 mnth and still at initial review

There's no way to tell you the processing time of your local office. Even at NBC it's all a mystery. All you can do is search on VJ I would open a thread like they have for other local officxes and see maybe others who areat the same office and ask.

hey dwheels76, can you please let me know where you got the information that the new facility (Overland Park, Kansas) opened on 28th September? My I-130 has been sent there as well. Considering 28th September was a Saturday, I just wanted to verify and be informed. Thanks!

The new office is expected to start adjudicating i-130 by end of fiscal year, which was end of september. But don't take that literally that they are going to start functioning on first week of october. It's not Apple, it is the government. Things have their own schedule in govt.

Almost everyone who filed in March is still waiting, and there's also tons of February and January filers waiting. I contacted my congressman who sent me the generic email that it will take 6 more months, meaning 12 full months for processing.

But, who knows what to believe!

Does anyone know why USCIS keep extending I-130 and I-129F processing time ? I have filled for my wife and its been 7+ months for I-130 and didn't get any answer yet. I got only NOA 1. Does anyone have any idea or update ?

Well, this is common knowledge (obtained by reading USCIS news releases) that in August 2012 they started sending petitions to field offices (before Service Centers were processing them). Now they're starting to adjudicate them in a centralized location again (a.k.a. the Overland Park, KS). First they had to train people in field offices. Now they had to train people in the new centralized office. From my experience with change management stuff like this is never easy.

There's no way to tell you the processing time of your local office. Even at NBC it's all a mystery. All you can do is search on VJ I would open a thread like they have for other local officxes and see maybe others who areat the same office and ask.

I did this and got 0 replies. Lol. I wish they'd add the field office to the timeline but with the centralization it almost doesn't make any sense now.
