Hello,

I just sent my i-130 last week haven't got anything back yet no noa1, nothing else.....

But if my husband wants to come viist me in the USA now, can he do that?

what kind of visa does he have to apply for? how long will it take? will it affect the i-130 process?

Thanks in advance for all those who wil help :)

Its been a year since submitting I-130 and were still in two different countries :sleepy:

well u have to file k1 or k3 visa while ur i 130 is pending ..and thats gona take almost 8 months before ur spose get there in USA ..good luck

Interview Date is november 18, 2014 :dancing: :goofy: :idea:

Well not to burst your bubble but the likely hood of him getting a visitor visa is almost impossible. he can always apply.

But for most of us (Not just Iraq) coming from a country with no VWP or Esta is really remote and then you now have an active I-130 which is showing he wants to immigrate.

He will have to show super string ties to convince immigration he will return. Nothing is stopping him to apply and try.

And it is a B1/B2 Visa he would apply for. They are immediate. So as he gets an interview he can get it and come of approved. It's not a months and months process. Don't know how long they wait there for interview. You interview in Ankara or Abu Dhabi? or somewhere else (sorry not sure where ya'll go).

The problem with Iraq is AP you are most likely in for along time on AP no matter what visa you interview for if it is approved there is a period to do background checks to ensure no terrorist ties. In many MENA cases that can take over a year.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
