Is a visitor Visa possible while case is in process?

'Ello all.. Dropping in with a question, I want to know if it is possible for my wife to come to America as a visitor rather than a permanent resident.. Our case is currently at the NVC office and we are experiencing some technical difficulties. Im not sure if I am just recieving a bunch of "false checklists" or if NVC really isnt recieving my IV packet. I feel like the process is close to an end, but the never-ending RFE's are whats stopping us from an interview date. I'm currently in Jordan waiting with my wife until we can getan interview date, but if it takes too long I might have to return to 'Murrica. Now the last thing I would want to do is leave my wife AGAIN, so is there a way I can bring my wife with me to America for a month or two until things get wrapped up at NVC, then we both return to Jordan for interview and hopefully the finish line.

Here's my current situation if it would help with any questions you may have: http://www.visajourn...s-sitting-duck/

Thanks in Advance!

Nice!! Thanks for the link! That's somewhat relieving although its a risky procedure. What if they return her back to Jordan, I assume there would NOT be a refundof ticket purchase huh? Thanks for the welcome!

Yeah, we would obviously have to return back to Jordan for an interview anyway so something is lined up for us to return.. hmmmm idea9dv.gif

If she doesn't have a visitors visa already it is highly unlikely that she could get one. IF she already has one then the question is will they admit her. If money isn't an issue you can apply and maybe you will be lucky . They do not see an impending interview as a tie to home, they see it more likely that the visitor will try to adjust status in the US.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I hate to tell you, but the chances of her getting a visitor visa from Jordan with a pending CR-1 is just about zero, your wife has immigrant intent. Even getting a visitor visa without a pending immigrant visa is very difficult.

Would it be possible to get visitor visa before applying for I-130? Would it make any difference?

Nope, you are married, therefore she has immigrant intent
