My wife has applied for AOS, has EAD/AP, needs to fly to Chicago from Atlanta.

When buying an airline ticket, does she buy it in the name her Filipino passport has, or her NEW married name, just unsure what to do.

If she flies under her passport name for ID purposes, would she be flying under an "assumed name" or book the ticket under married name, and take cert. copy of marriage license, and EAD/AP.,.,,. just not sure what to do.,..,.

Comments and suggestion, are appreciated!

Her flight is a domestic flight and all she will need to show is a valid identification, so dhe can either book ticket under the name her passport is in or she can under her work permit either or, it will not be a problem. AP is usually used when flying international!

What name is on her EAD/AP card? That is the name to use. The EAD/AP combo card can be used for ID.

Passport is not needed for travel within the USA wink.png

For the TSA checkpoint you need a government issuied ID. That can be a DL, GC, EAD/AP, or passport. The name on the ticket MUST match the ID she will use to travel on. My wife made several trips within the US using her foreign passport before her EAD/AP or GC arrived. The ticket was issued in the name on her foreign passport and she had no problems at all.

Good luck,

Dave
