Thanks for the information about American Families United. It's good to know that someone is trying to organize the people most affected by immigration legislation. I agree that it should be for those that are using the system legally. Anyone who has dealt with this system legally has a right to be upset with those here illegally and protesting against immigration reform.

I don't think the 'illegals' are protesting AGAINST immigration reform. But they are protesting and getting media attention. Meanwhile a lot of us who have passed legally into the system just grumble and gripe about how the system functions, but we don't know how to help foster any change.

AFU wants to see that any benefit passed in the new Congress benefits Family classes of immigration as well as other classes.

If you aren't interested in AFU, I still urge you to find a political voice that matches your own. There will be immigration reform and it would be lovely if it trickled down to families and did not just benefit business.
