Yep, I've seen this too often. This wasn't race based. If I was behind the wheel of the SUV, I would be put in the same situation. Even more so because I would have gotten out of the car and tried to defuse the situation.

Do I fear him? You bet!

Do I fear you? Absolutely not.

I wouldn't group you together at all. He's a career criminal, and you (from what I can tell reading this board) are an intelligent, normal guy, but you just happen to be the same or of similar race.

One would think anyone could tell that there are bad apples from any ethnic background.

Now lets look at this through VJ racist eyes.

1, The entire bike gang that attacked the SUV was black, even though no mention of this was made and the only names I saw named were Hispanic.

2. Again, if the gang was black then obviously ALL of the motorcycles involved were stolen. No way a black thug could afford a motorcycle since he would be unemployed and collecting welfare.

3. Blacks commit the vast majority of crimes in the US, even the ones that they don't. I mean we all know that most blacks are criminals.

4. And since Asians and Chinese are my favorite people, it only stands to reason that those degenerate blacks attacked this family because they were Asian.

And let's not forget about the other idiots who suggested the SUV family should have waited calmly until the police arrived. Or maybe the SUV driver brought the attack upon himself, you know all those bikers were minding their own business when they gave him a brake job and smashed his windows.

The mentality of some here has sunken to even lower lows, if that is even possible.

Of course, it's not like GZ didn't identify himself. I mean, I can't understand why a 17 year old would attack a grown man. GZ didn't do anything crazy like follow him for four minutes in a car and then on foot, at night, never at any time saying Hey, I'm the neighborhood watch and was just wanting to see if you were lost or needed assistance. I mean, you have folks on here that have stated repeatedly they would blow someone away if they felt the slightest bit threatened. Yet, in this case, TM had no right to feel threatened, right? There was no reason to be afraid of a stranger running after you, at night, who by admission by everyone said his decisions teetered between stupid and borderline dangerous, who broke every single neighborhood watch rule because he wanted to go above and beyond, and was packing a gun.

I'm gonna throw out my POV. I suppose I'm hoping for some feedback...

Okay...here's how we (my wife and I) operate =

When it comes to our safety - We don't concern ourselves with race or color. We keep a watchful eye on every1. & if we think we are vulnerable - We keep 2 eyes on every1.

Our regular haunts are shared by various race, color & religion - yet we rarely feel vulnerable. Why? = Socioeconomic demographic. (but) Even in our hood.. if we are out & about during some settings ...at night or perhaps heavy holiday shopping time (for examples), We heighten our environment awareness to keep a look out for potential trouble. After all - the monsters are humans and they come in all shapes, sizes & colors. I mean ..c'mon...(1 example) BTK was a respected white Lutheran deacon...& that evil freak gives me the shivers even thinking about his story right now.

(additionally) - We think the probability for a crime increases or decreases with environment. Specifically - poor people hoods. I / We make sure to not find myself in the wrong part of town at night and if for some reason I must be there = in / out expediently during the day & twitching my head back & forth like I'm jonezin for a fix. That's an exaggeration but I think I make my point. Why? Coz we stand out. We don't blend in. Regardless of race, religion or color...we don't look like another ...how do I phrase it...= bottom feeder. We look like a target.

& as frank as I can be - I am white.. whitey white - I am not so stupid to think my white azz is gonna make a leisure stroll thru a Black or Hispanic hood (if spotted) unscathed. Same for a poor White hood (but I think my chances are slightly better coz I'm white). Why? Coz every1 knows about the crips & the bloods & the Cholos ...& every1 knows how mean a poor white boy can be when he feels inferior & hungry.

Bottom line for us = Take no chances & stay alive = Stay out of poor peeps hoods.

That's the problem, you can go though those places unscathed. It doesn't matter what color you are, crime is crime. Your line of thought is why folks think they can't go to black or hispanic poor neighborhoods.
