Sorry, I just feel like I have so much to catch up on. Since they had lost my papers I had lost hope and forgot about the process but I have to say that the immigration person at congressman Michael Capianos office in Dorchester, MA was of amazing help.

He even called a couple days after I reveived my letter to ask if I had received it. Said that he had called my service office and they had told him that once they received my RFE they'd be back on my case. So he told me that if I het no reply after a few weeks of mailinh it, to contact him.

I sent it out today, Oct.4, 2013.

Will my status online update when they receive it ? Or it won't change until action is taken?

How long do they typically take to approve or deny after receiving an RFE back

Hi,

May I ask you what did they ask you for RFE? Did you submit the documents initially when you filed your I-129F? Usually they update the case of your status as soon as they receive or the next day. Decision is depend on the Officer who is handling your case. Might ask for more RFE depends on that officer how satisfactory the documents are to him/her. In my case my officer is way too slow and asked three times more documents and repeatedly the same as I sent them along with my initial file. It has been 9 months and no clue what is next. Hope your officer is not the same as I have. My officer is XM0229, which is on the Blue or yellow sheet your received with your RFE to attach on top of the documents.

I'm so sorry to hear that, I hope it doesn't happen to us because it already 3months for the letter to get to me.

They wanted the letters where we say we are going to marry each other within the 90 days.

No I had forgotten to send them with the first packet.

I doubt my officer will be like that because my congressman was very clear that they were being too lazy and needed to pick up their pace.

It changes once actions are taken. I should be one week though.

Ok thank you
