I take the Mrs out to a local burrito shop tonight. Lots of kids and families there

Some Punk with godawful ugly porker of a girlfriend about 3 people inline ahead of me has on a T-shirt with a message that contained the F word as an action verb.

I am no saint and have been known to drop the F -bomb under some circumstances and in adult company

However how much of an idiot do you have to be to wear something like that in Public.I don't know but it just bothered me. Maybe at a night club but at a family eatery ?

Maybe i am just that out of touch with the times, but i just thought it in poor taste. I guess some dad has to explain to his 5 year old what that means

Burritos are delicious, and I wish my family liked them as much as I do. Sadly, I can't get the good burritos because they aren't fans. The closest they'll eat to a burrito is the shredded chicken one at taco bell (which isn't bad, though...)

As for the f-shirt, the guy probably is desperate for attention. People are, every so often, idiots, after all.

With that being said, in my opinion, it's just a word. It's culturally impolite, but it's just a word. Surely the dirty looks the guy will get will have him question his decision to wear the shirt, unless that's the kind of attention he's after.

What would Xenu do?

My libertarian side is fighting my traditional side.

I did look at my wife and said, loud enough for him to hear,, Honey you have to be a special kind of idiot to wear something like that

He'd probably gotten those comments all night. One would think he'd learn his lesson.

It really pissed me off for some reason...There was a table of 6 kids right behind him

I am pretty sure none of the superior court judges here would have done much to me if i had bounced him off the wall a few times

I'm sure the kids realized he was an idiot just as much as everyone else did.

If anything, it can turn in to a conversation about free speech and that even idiots have the rights to it.

I do love me some free speech, I jsut wonder where the line stops..Does one have the right to wear shirts with the F word on them in family restaurants.

Tough question

I guess the proper course would be to complain to the manager and maybe they would ask him to leave

If I owned a family place i would have asked him to leave

why you not sling sauce all over the shirt?

Don't be a slacktard, the next time you have such an encounter.

With a modicum of planning, you can make it look like an accident.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Actually it comes down to legal definitions, many places have laws against obscenity in public.

And what is obscenity? WHat the "community" finds as patently offensive.

IN these cases public shaming has good effect, your comments and others who might have made them i s what reinforces "community standards".

SOme might say, "He has freedom of speech" if that be the case, why not have a shirt with a graphic sex scene as well or perhaps with a little button when you push it is says something foul for all hear and to enjoy.

My grand mother has a book on the history of her county, the police blotter (so to speak) is listed for like 1918, even cursing in front of a lady would get you a hefty fine.

One of the great things about this country is there are communities which have no problem with such expressions, I say let people gravitate towards like minded communities.

To me it's about basic respect for others..I would not walk around with the N word on my shirt, or Allah says eat more pork etc etc

In some venues the shirt would have been fine..I think it just shows a basic lack of respect for others

to be honest the shirt said , "I am my own Fing saviour"

The religious message did not bother me. It could have said I am my own saviour with the same effect.

Exactly

ONe would expect these types of things on Bourbon St or Spring break, not in the general public, it shows a poor upbringing IMO.
