Over the two year visa journey I have managed to amassed quite a bit of documents and wrote many a letters to USCIS and Senators and what nots.

So is there any reason to keep any of this now? What documents from this period will she need when it's time to remove conditions and also to apply for citizenship?

I hate being a pack rat.

Keep copies of letters to/from immigration and other key items.( Entry and exit evidence ) Start new evidence of co-mingledness for ROC Keep anything that appeals to your desire to document the journey.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

rofl.gif I know exactly what you mean Gowon. I have put all of them in the last suitcase which I traveled to Nigeria with and it is in the garage...each time I go in there and want to go through it, I walk away. I don't like being a pack rat either, but can't bring myself to go through them for it brings very bad memories of the hellish VJ...

Save anything post her arrival and start a new "happy" folder LOL to present for the removal of conditions..I am so elated for you guys.dancin5hr.gif

I've kept electronic copies of everything I sent in. You just make a file and put it on your desktop or on a hard drive or DVD or CD or whatever. Anything that can be read in case you need it. And then save it in your email (a separate server in case something happens to your computer and other physical assets which have your info). Put the physical copies and CD/DVD or hard drive containing the info into a fire safe.

Encrypt it if you can.

Keep everything you never know. I never thought I would deal with USCIS after I got my citizenship through marriage but my marriage didn't work out and now I'm in the process of petitioning someone I met in another country. USCIS in this case might question the validity of my first marriage and ask for old documents. Luckily I have almost everything I sent them.
