Don't worry guys. I was very worried for 45 days thinking they lost my application or something. It is just taking longer than usually for nvc to process things but be patient. The longest I've seen things take is 7 weeks. Mine took 6 weeks I personally got my info last Friday oct 4. Right now my file is already in Florida and it will be in bogota colombia tomorrow. Be patient although I know it's difficult

If you would be so kind to update your timeline so those of us still waiting can estimate a little better that would be awesome! :D

Congrats on the next step!!

Does anyone know whether

F2A, IR1/CR1, K1 approved petitions are forwarded to NVC separately by petition type or all bunched together?

F2A, IR1/CR1, K1 approved petitions are processed differently at NVC? (Wanted to know if there is preference over another)

I know there's priority date for F2A ...but from what I've read priority date comes into play only after case complete. Up until case complete are the processed as "same")

Thanks

Hello- has anyone with a September NOA2 received a NVC # yet?

By the current VJ members (CSC) who update their time lines it should be this week. Last week NVC was processing CSC petitions up to 28 August. I have the same NOA2 as you and are hoping for a case number this week...

Has anyone tried calling the NCSC to track the location of your petition (that is, whether it's still with USCIS or en-route to the NVC)? We called the NCSC last week and were put on hold for about 45 minutes. The tier 2 rep looked up our receipt number and said our petition was sent to the NVC on Thursday, 10 October, and we could start calling NVC the week after. Anyone received this same update and were able to get a case number from the NVC shortly after? We are going to start calling the NVC every day now and will update if we hear any good news back. Fingers crossed...

Just to add - the tier 1 guy was pretty insistent that we check with the NVC first. He was only willing to transfer us to a tier 2 rep after he confirmed that it had been 30 days since our NOA2 and that we had already followed up with the NVC previously.

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

Been calling DOS in the morning and NVC in the evening everyday and still no luck. I did get through to a Tier 2 Officer at USCIS last week and she asked me to wait another week before i check on the case again. She did not tell me the date USCIS really sent our I-130 to NVC.

How did i get to the Tier 2?

Tier 1 people don't have much info about your case. So i told tier 1 person that i need to verify my A number/Address on my I-130. She wasn't sure and transferred me to tier 2.

I have now contacted my congressman to check on my case now with USCIS and NVC. Lets see what info i get from his office.

Gosh! I called NVC this morning and they had not received ours yet. We were 9/4 also. I think different people say different things. I wish I could talk to someone that would say if our case was actually there but not loaded in the system.

Do you think it's just a problem with the California Service center??

I filed through Texas and received my NOA2 on Sept 5th... after calling today to the NVC, they still do not have my case. I also haven't received an updated case status on the USCIS page or any e-mail about it being mailed.

Another woman I talked to on here who is also filing for a Peruvian fiancee through the Texas center was approved YESTERDAY with her NOA2 and received notification today that her case was sent to the NVC.

Should I be worried? Anything I can do?

Thanks!

That's interesting. Mine was approved on the 27th and mailed on the 30th. From what I gather sometimes they process further after an approval. That could be what's happening and I don't think it's either good or bad.
