The Republicans introduced a bill which would continue funding the entire government except for Obamacare... The Democrats, Harry Reid, refused to allow a vote in the senate...

So.. there would be no shut down of the government if Harry Reid and the democrats in the senate would vote on the bill passed by the House of Reps...

Wrong. The Senate has voted on each of the CRs the House has sent up there. Important to remember that funding for Obamacare is already in place and doesn't require any vote either in the House or Senate. That is where the Republicans are confused. Even while they hold the government shut down, Obamacare is moving forward. Now, as I said, the CRs that the House passed all got a vote in the Senate. They were all stripped of the riders irrelevant to the issue at hand, passed and sent back to the House. The problem is that Boehner has not allowed a vote on those in House. That is why the government is currently shut down. What the Senate has sent to the House would pass if only Boehner would put it up for a vote. He refuses.

The run on the exchanges is so great that people can't sign up as fast as they want to. Now, if you think that I am going to be worried about the deadbeats whose medical bills I have involuntarily footed for the last two decades, you are sorely mistaken.
