I had set an infopass appointment for interim EAD on March 13, 2006, 7:30 am at Atlanta, Georgia distric office. My EAD application will be 93 days then, as of now, I have not recieved the biometrics letter yet.

If the biometrics letter wouldn't show up before the appointment date, I would definitely proceed with the infopass appoinment.

Now, on the infopass appointment what would likely to expect on that meeting? Would they allow me to have the biometics fingerprintingg on that office and issued the card on spot then?

Please share your experience to those who had gone through this process. Thanks a lot!

Hi Rose,

Really it is hard to say because all the local offices work differently. But I can tell you several VJ members who were sucessful at getting walk in biometrics done in Atlanta. That is really good news. I did not see any infopass appointments made for other Atlanta locals (I only looked through 2 pages). This can be good news for you. If you are close to the office, you can attempt the walk in biometrics and continue on regular processing. Or you can choose to keep the biometrics appt and try and obtain that. In my local office though the interim EAD is a short one, not the full year. Not sure about there.

I know this does not answer all of your questions, but like I said - I really don't know about the Atlanta office.

Good luck... I know its daunting!
