Hello everyone,

I'm a moroccan woman married to a US. citizen since 06/08/2013. We mailed the needed paper to the USCIS in 07/01/2013 and received our official receipt notice. We thought everything was just fine and expected to receive the approval in december or most likely in january, till yesterday when we received an email from USCIS telling us that our case is pending at the National Benefits Center. They anticipate a delay in completing it... Can anyone please tell me what does it mean?

What did the notice say exactly? I personally have not received anything like that and my husbands has been pending at the NBC since May. I know they only started to complete the cases at NBC and maybe it is a generic notice? I don't know. Maybe someone else has more insight.

It's not a generic notice so you won't receive it. Actually, it's a response to my husband's several calls about our case status. Can I ask you please when did you mail your paper to the USCIS?

Thank you

PS: I accidently removed my first account. I wanted to delete my topic from the K-1 visa and thought that the 2 topics will be automatically removed by closing it :(

Anyway, I think it's not a generic notice. Actually, it's a response to my husband's several calls about our case status because it's getting so hard for us to be away from each other.

Can I ask you please when did you mail your papers to the USCIS?

Thank you

Well like I said, they told us that our case is pending at the NBC and anticipate a delay in completing the case.

You said that you're experiencing delays from the NBC, how long are we talking about?

Thank you

What is the address on your NOA1 in the lower left corner? I'm not sure that we have the same NBC.
