Hello everyone, We desperately need an helpful/useful advice on our unheard case. I had my interview at US embassy in Bridgetown, Barbados on Aug 19 and all questions asked was answered correctly, at the end of the interview the consular officer gave me a white form requested a joint interview with my fiancée the petitioner. I attended the second interview with my fiancée on Sep 18. The interview was really tough! I was drilled beyond explanation. I and my fiancée was interviewed separately and every questions asked was answered correctly, at the end of the interview the consular officer told us and gave us visa approval letter that we APPROVED, and that I should return back to the country of my residence and then send back my passport and the visa approval letter to them as quickly as possible for visa issuance. I don't live in Barbados, I live in other island close to Barbados. I sent back my passport and the visa approval letter which they received on Sep 24, since then I have been checking my case status at CEAC website and our case status updated thrice. Case says: "Ready". We were kind of worried and my fiancée finally email the embassy to confirm if they received my passport and to enquire about our case status, here is the email response we received from the embassy today:

Ma’am,

I regret to advise that at this point, the visa is in review. We will be returning your fiancé’s passport to him during this process. Although we advised at the interview that it was our intention to approve the visa, we now expect to be unable to print and issue the visa. I regret the inconvenience and disappointment this news must bring. A final determination has simply not yet been made and we realize the timeframe for the K1 visa is running out.

You would certainly be able to petition for him as a spouse after you get married.

Respectfully,

I know nothing about why they'd be denying it, but I can tell you that the consular officer/consulate can extend the date of your K-1 visa application if they want to. Maybe you could request that they extend it by some amount of time IF time is the issue at hand, which, by her email, isn't very clear.

They don't believe the relationship is bonafide after that stoke interview

all answers could have been correct, but CO believe it to be rehearsed

answers planned ahead & upon speaking to the supervisor advised to

renege...notice all their paperwork tend to say" this is not a visa"....until visa

is in hand any card can play.

A real bonafide relationship will have this man marrying you & filing spousal

petition ,if not their notes in system may say *I told you so* (of course in

a more professional language)

That's very carefully 'couched' language, but

the meat of it, to marry and file a new petition, just strikes me as very obvious for what's what, there, in that letter.

Sorry.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I'm so sorry to hear of this. My fiancé is going to be interviewed there next month. Any idea as to what may have made them do this?????
