Hi VJ members!

We just had two questions in mind after getting our case number. We checked the status of our case in CEAC yesterday and it says In Transit. So our questions are:

1. Do we need to wait for the packet 3 before we schedule medical exam or we can go ahead and schedule it?

2. Who schedules the interview appointment?

Thank you! ?

Hey, Congratsss!!! dancin5hr.gif In my country I had to wait for the packet 3 to schedule the medical exam. I called doctor once I got the Case Complete but they informed me that I needed the interview letter and my passport to schedule medical exam.

I do not know how it is in your country but for me Packet 3 was basically the interview letter (with date and time of interview) with all the instructions about the interview and they also provided the list of documents to bring/obtain during interview.

I got my Packet 3 (interview letter) on 6th working day from Case Complete.

You will find the information for your country here, http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Philippines&cty=Manila

Hope this helps good.gif

We have the same question too. "what after case number"

Once we get case # from NVC, how do you check the status in CEAC website.. say if it is in Transit or reached embassy etc.,

I mean do we choose nonimmigrant Visa (for K-1), consulate name (for us it is Canada, Montreal) and the case #? in the CEAC website?

anybody going thru Montreal, Canada Guide me? how did your case number look like; is it something like MTL 2013 XXX XXX?

If I understand correctly, Montreal do not send packet 3 instead just a letter with chklist.. so I dont think we need to wait for packet3 but send all forms whatever required to get packet 4. Then go for medicals. is that right?

Sorry.. I am going crazy...Probably b'se it is a Friday! lol..

Congrats on getting the case number!

1. Even without the packet, I was able to have my medical exam at St. Lukes and schedule my visa interview appointment. The packet from the Manila embassy arrived the day BEFORE my visa interview. :P I heard some never got theirs though, and it didn't matter as long as they have their case number.

2. The applicant can choose when. You have to pay the fee first: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-paymentinfo.asp so you can schedule your appointment here: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-appointmentschedule.asp. I scheduled it 2 weeks from my medical exam. In case, something comes up in my medical exam, which thankfully wasn't the case as I am now here in the US. :)
