GOVERMENT SHUTDOWN BUT MY CASE WAS SENT TO NVC

As you can see below this is a real prove The Goverment is shutdown however my Fiance case was sent to NVC today.

DAMMMMM !!!! keep the hopes up

On October 3, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

It's a fact that they will continue processing visas!!! (and passports)

The State Department will continue processing foreign applications for visas and US applications for passports, since fees are collected to finance those services. Embassies and consulates overseas will continue to provide services to American citizens. So we are in the clear buddy!!!!!!!!

- 5/513 - NOA1 received by email - 10/16/13 - NOA2 received in mail - US Embassy Manila Interviews Passed 11/13/13 - 3/4/14 Mailed AOS packet - 4/15/14 Biometrics complete

How about the USCIS? are they halting processes because of the govt shutdown? i ask coz our file is unfortunately still stuck with them until now:(

USCIS is a fee-based agency so it's not really affected by the lack of funding. Good news for us! I'm not sure about the embassies though...

July 13, 2013 = Arrived in the U.S. (Port of Entry: Hawaii)

August 3, 2013 = Got married!

August 29, 2013 = Mailed application for Adjustment of Status

September 7, 2013 = Received NOA1

October 1, 2013 = Biometrics done.

November 20, 2013 = Scheduled interview.

December 2, 2013 = Green Card received! The letter said they approved my application on Nov 22.

Filed = Sept. 3, 2014

NOA 1 = Sept. 7, 2014

Biometrics = October 1, 2014

Interview = October 20, 2014

Green card received = October 22, 2014
