Hello,

I do have a question in order to file my form i765 correctly and I need to be sure of what is my current immigration status in the US. I already read some of topic related but none of them look like my situation..

I came in the US with a J-1 visa and got married with my wife while I were still on it. We already filed the form i197 and i485 together and are right now at the step of the interview even if we are waiting for the mail with the date of it.

I know it's maybe stupid but I just heard two days ago about the employment authorization form i765 and advance of parole i131. The thing is since we got married and applied for the adjustment of status my J1 visa expired and now I don't know what is my current immigration status??

If someone could help with that it's could be very grateful ;)

Current status is AOS-pending. Not really a status, but a period of authorized stay while your AOS is being adjudicated.

If you are talking about the EAD form, you can put "J-1 expired."

No because you didn't apply for an EAD.
