We just received my wifes I-797 NOA in the mail. Im not sure if this is something I need to report to USCIS.

My wifes name, as petitioner, is listed as "ODKAN" long space "OLENA". Im only asking because my step sons I-797 has his first name first then last name listed.

In the address they only printed her first Initial then our last name. Again not sure if this matters.

Thank You!

I think on that form they did ask to make sure the name is correct and how to update it if there is a problem? I could be wrong. It wouldn't be a bad idea to update it if the name is incorrect (wrong spelling, wrong order etc.) because that may affect on how the name is printed on the green card. Did you double check to make sure the names noted on the form is correct? If it is, sometimes people tend to take matters in their own hands and make decisions on how the names should be LOL (I know because my Chinese name gets rearranged every now and then, even by govt agencies!) Best bet is to go on USCIS website and find out, sorry not much help here!

ROC Journey:

4/24/13 - Submitted I-751 application

4/26/13 - I-751 officially filed

6/11/13 - Biometrics done

8/14/13 - Rec'd RFE

9/21/13 - Submitted RFE response

9/23/13 - RFE response rec'd at VSC

(about 2 months later)

11/21/13 - Service request via Tier 1 submitted

12/11/13 - Response to service request rec'd - vague info about processing times

12/12/13 - Service request via Tier 2 submitted

12/10/13 - APPROVED!!! (letter rec'd 12/14/13)

12/16/13 - 2nd Service request response rec'd

12/17/13 - Card production email/text rec'd (online case updated)!

12/24/13 - Notification rec'd via email regarding card mailed on 12/23/13 (online case updated as well)

12/26/13 - 10-yr card rec'd!

One thing I have learned on this journey:

There is no such thing as an "overkill" evidence package. Submit anything and everything you can. Who knows what will prevent you from getting an RFE.

Doesn't matter. It is a receipt. Nothing more. It means they received it and you paid.

I would suggest NOT listing your wife's full first and last names in public forum posts

A better way is "they listed it as (last name) long space (first name) " Actually listing her first name is no big deal. Better to not give such personal information in public internet forums. If the names are correct, there is no issue here. even if there was a "typo" in the notice, the notice does not necessarily indicate what the Green Card will say. Since this is her Removal of Conditions, the new Green Card will be the same as the old one.
