08/28/06- NOA1 for I-130, EAD, and I-485

09/01/06- Recieved boimetrics appointment letter

09/07/06- Biometrics appointment

10/24/06- Recieved letter for initial interview

11/21/06- EAD approved

11/27/06- EAD Recieved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

11/30/06- Touched- NOA for EAD sent

12/01/06- I-130 and I-485 Touched

12/20/06- Initial interview

12/20/06- APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (4 months!)

12/27/06- Recieved NOA2 for I-130

It makes me wonder why things get so complicated for some couples...It seems to make so little sense to me...I am glad that you have made it thru all the roadblock and finally got the visa...I admire you for your determination...Best of luck and I wish you a wonderful reunion... :thumbs:

:dance::dance: Hi all! Well, Zizi made his fourth and final trip to Casa....they actually issued the Visa this time! This has been an exhausting journey ladies, and the reality of it is still sinking in! We are so happy that he is really finally coming. Ours was drug out especially long for security checks and the need to get a Spanish Police Certificate. What I learned from this, that I can pass on to others to hopefully shorten your wait:

1) If you fiance has spent any significant amount (six months or more) of time outside of Morocco, work on getting your police certificate early in the process. Even if they didn't have a residency, you can get a Spanish police certificate by hiring a Spanish Lawyer.

2) Don't count on it taking the 5 months they estimate for this visa. Security checks alone can push that up to 9 months.

We had a b**** of a consulate officer who made the whole process especially stressful for us. I am so glad this is behind us now and we really can look forward to a normal life. I can hardly believe it!

Thanks to all of you that put up with my whining and incessant questions! To all those that are waiting: Your day WILL come!!!

May 30 08-Baby Joshua was born

Jan 15-Back to NY we go...

May 10-made decision not to go back overseas.

July 10-filed for divorce

Jan 11-Divorce final

July 11-1st trip to take Josh to see George

Mar 12-2nd trip to take Josh to see George
