Hello All idea9dv.gif

This is what my case shows whenever I checked online to get info on when I'll possibly be approved. I get the below message when I put in my NOA receipt number for the i130 below;

Initial Review (receipt number for i130 MSCXXXXXXXXXX)

On March 14, 2013, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or contact our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283. mad.gif

Initial Review (receipt number for i129F MSCYYYYYYYYYY)

On April 5, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance. mad.gif

I don't know when to expect an approval as we filed in March 2013. Anyone with useful info or those who are in a similar situation should please advise. If the i130 gets approved before the i129F,will I automatically be eligible for a CR1/IR1 visa? Both applications were sent to the National Benefit Centre (NBC) and was never sent to any service centres like TSC or VSC,is that something I should be worried about?ClockWatch2.gif

Expecting response from knowledgeable VJ peeps. good.gif

Thanks Ya'llrolleyes.gif

Coded.

Are both the I130 and i129F for you?

Are you married?

The CR1/IR1 is for married couples, the i129F are for those that are not married but plan to get married upon entry into the US, so I'm a little confused why you sent two different applications... If your married your i129F will probably be rejected.

@QueenE.............. Yeah we're married, we initially wanted to pursue a K3 visa process that's why we filed the i129F.

The Process for Bringing Your Spouse to the United States via K-3 Visa

Step 1: Immigrant Petition for Alien Relative - Form I-130

You must first file an immigrant Petition for Alien Relative, Form I-130 for your spouse and children with your local USCIS Office in the United States. The USCIS will send you a Notice of Action (Form I-797) receipt notice. This notice tells you that the USCIS has received the petition. Which we did and got the NOA1 (receipt number for i130 MSCXXXXXXXXXX)

Step 2: Petition for Alien Fiance, Form I-129F

After you have received the receipt note (Notice of Action - Form I-797), you should file the Petition for Alien Fiance (Form I-129F) for your spouse and children. Send the I-129F petition, supporting documents and a copy of the Form I-797 receipt notice to USCIS.

This was the route we took but I don't know if its the reason for it being stalled so far as its been almost 7 months now!!!

Queene... one note... You might Familiarize yourself with the process prior to giving out filing form info less confuse someone unessarily... How the process works is exactly as the OP has done... Once a CR1 (130) is filed, couples can file the 129 at no extra charge to peruse the K3..

. However, to the OP, as you have probably discovered in your research, the K3 is functionally obsolete and will be administratively closed as it will most likely be processed the same time as the CR1 application... There has been some discussions how the K3 concurrent applications can slow down the CR1 due the fact they have to be pulled and matched up, however this is mostly speculation... I think it is more likely that this is a case of just taking longer than some. This system is unfortunately many times, a luck of the draw. I hope that you will get so e movement soon, if you get outside the uscis normal processing times, file a status update... But I hope that you will get word before then! Good luck

06/14/2003 - Married Savona Italy

I-130

03/21/2009 - I-130 Mailed to Chicago lockbox

11-30-09: GOT GREEN CARD in mail!!!!!!

Citizenship Process;

1/11/2013: Mailed N400 to Dallas Texas

3/11/2013: interview.. Approved

@Jane21................. Thanks for the words of encouragementgood.gif I was thinking I was alone on this boat,now I see you've waited even far longer than I have,another thing I heard is that the illegal immigrants are being given priority due to some Obama policy of some sort,dunno if that is true but some say its the reason why everything is being stalled or something. I'll be glad if I can first pass the stage of getting the petition approved. Wonder why K1 visa applicants are approved faster than spouses,isn't that just bizarrre and strange as well as unfair?

There is a manner to check timelines that are similar to yours.
