Hi guys! Some petty questions here:

1.) What date should I write on DS-230 form? Is it the date of my interview?

2.) I have asked this before, but maybe I will get more answer / ideas this time: On DS-157 Question #9, List all the countries you have visited for the last ten years. (Give the year of each visit). My concern is I have visited several countries multiple times in a year.

For example: Singapore: 5x in 2011, 3x in 2012 and 5x in 2013. Do I need to say how many times I have visited in a year? Or simply write: Singapore (2011, 2012 and 2013)?

It has been suggested before that I don't need to spell out how many visits I made, but still the word "EACH" on the question concerns me.

3.) What is the more advisable / correct pen color to bring during the interview? BLACK or BLUE? innocent.gif

Thanks in Advance! smile.png

Hi sweet cheeks, I hope I can help:

1. I am not sure of what date field you are referring to, but if you mean the date near signature, just put the current (or today's) date.

2. Just list the name of the country. You do not need to put the number of times you visit. USCIS will do a background screen to confirm if the list of countries you list is correct and if there was any criminal report. The number of times does not matter.

3. Always use black. Blue is ok, but it can sometimes cause problems when trying to make copies. Use black to be on the safe side.

Good luck!!!

1) Date you are completing the form.

2) # 9 asks for each country visited and the year you visited so list each country then list all the different years you visited, being you have many visits list them on a separate sheet of paper and write "see attachment" in # 9. I would go with your 2nd example.

3) Doesn't really matter if you use black or blue... pick the one you want.

Hi sweet cheeks, I hope I can help:

Good luck!!!

Thanks nphar! Yes, it's the date beside the signature and you're right on using a black pen indeed! The longest period I was at in a particular country was 2 months. 90% of my visits were job function-related. So hopefully that doesn't raise a red flag. smile.png

Hey Hank, thank you! You know there are still some petty inessential questions that keep popping on my head every now and then even with all the stuff I'm reading. The pressure is slowly building up each day. Helpful angels like you really ease up that feeling. smile.png Til my next question! innocent.gif
