Thanks Nikoy! I'm keeping my hopes up high wink.png. Good luck on your CFO. Keep us updated.

**CFO will be closed on Oct. 15, 2013 and resume on Oct 16, 2013 as per their site

Just finished CFO today! Everything went out smoothly! Here's what happened:

--5am : Arrived at CFO ( I was 10th on the line, there were only a very few people, I don't know if it's bec of the rainy weather or bec it's Friday)

--There will be 2 lines: 1) for PDOS and 2) for Spouses and Fiancee....

--6:30am: Doors opened and were asked to prepare the docs listed on http://cfo.gov.ph/..

--When asked to enter, surrender 1 valid I.D to the guard and you will be given their facility I.D. in exchange

--I was asked to proceed to the 3rd floor

--Filled out a form on 3rd floor (basic information about you and your petitioner)

--Passed the form together with the required docs to the lady, she then took a picture of me

--Was asked to proceed to Japan Room

--On our case, the counselor first did the one on one interview, questions are basic (no need to panic) lol

--After everyone was done with the one-on-one, seminar was started and lasted for 2hours

--We were then asked to proceed to the cashier to pay the 400php fee, they got our passports and were asked to wait until our names were called

--After 10mins, we were called to get our passports with our stickers and certificate**please check if your name and country of destination is correct

--by 12pm, i was done! yay!

**NO NEED TO PANIC. THEY JUST WANNA MAKE SURE THAT YOUR RELATIONSHIP IS GENUINE AND THAT YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING YOURSELF INTO AND THAT YOU ARE EMOTIONALLY, MENTALLY, ETC PREPARED TO GO TO THE U.S. THEY ARE ACTUALLY VERY HELPFUL. I PERSONALLY LIKED THE SEMINAR COZ IT WAS VERY INFORMATIVE. YOU CAN ASK QUESTIONS. STAFF ARE FRIENDLY.

GOODLUCK GUYS!!!

Yup! Other members had bad experiences. So thankful mine was smooth. I was expecting that they ask for divorce papers, pictures and etc from me but they did not. Basically, their red flags are the ones who have very very big age gap, and the ones who seem to not know their petitioners well enough.

You guys might have other experiences so prepare well too. Like as if you are going to have an interview at the embassy. Make sure that you have complete requirements bec your sticker will not be issued.

Incase you forgot a document they are asking for, you could go back the same day to submit the docs. Their office is open till 5pm. So it is better to come in the morning so u will have time to submit the docs the same day and complete the process in 1day.

Some observations:

-accdg to the "tinderas", Monday is always a busy day.

-i noticed it is easier for visa holders compared to the ones who still dont have it.

Sorry for the long thread!

Thanks for the info! That's why I want to wait 'til I get my visa before going to the CFO. My thought was, CFO is worse than USEM? :)

Yup! Thats what i thought too! I was imagining scary counselors who would grill you.

Also, prepare:

-photocopy of petitioner's passport bio page

-maiden name of petitioner's mother

-copy of divorce decrees

Those are common additional docs they ask for.

Basically, the mind game is that dont let them think you dont know your petitioner. When they ask you should be quick, confident but calm. :P
