My sister in law in Syria wants to visit me in the US. As the embassy in Syria is closed, she needs to go to either Beirut or Amman to the available embassies.

She has already applied for a visa at the Beirut embassy but the waiting time is 109 days. In Amman, it is only 9 days. Would it be possible for her to apply at the second embassy without canceling her first appointment? Or if she cancels the first one, and re applies, would she say she has never applied for a visa before?

I am not sure what to tell her.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I guess the first question os when she wants to visit, this year, next year, when?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
