Would they need the AOS applicant be with their US Citizen spouse during the biometrics appointment? My husband won't be able to come with me because of job orientation, so we'll ask my father-in-law to accompany me instead.

Nope, it can be just you. Just make sure you bring your Passport AND Marraige License with. If you have a State Issued ID / Driver's License bring it with you too (if available). Just for good measure.

In the interview, however, the US Citizen spouse should be present. I think. (Anybody please correct me if I'm wrong. )

Thanks! I'll be with my MIL. It's a 30-minute drive to Kansas City and I can't drive lol. I don't have any other ID so I would just have to bring my passport, unless the SSN card counts.

They'd need identification, so Passport should be best and must be your main document. It's actually in the biometrics letter. The passport is in your maiden name though, right? If you applied for AOS under your married name, you'd need to have your marraige certificate with you to prove legal name change. The SSN doesn't have your photo though, and I asked the lady assisting me with my biometrics (because there was a blank on the screen she was working on that said SSN and it wasn't filled up), she said she doesn't need my SSN.

Kumi and Drake my hubby had his biometrics at the USCIS in KC on Tuesday (10/29). It was easy we were in/out in 15 minutes. Sounds like you have everything you need.

Hi fellow October filers! I'm joining the eagerly-waiting club I filed in early October and received my biometrics letter yesterday, scheduled for 11/14. Going to walk in on 11/6 because I want to keep this ball rolling! Has anyone tried to walk in for biometrics at the Salt Lake City office?

Hello Fellow Oct Filers. I have a question. I just received an email regarding AOS. I changed my address 10/31 and now it was changed to Card/Document Production. I am going to my biometrics appointment this thurs Nov7. So I am assuming this is a glitch right? Have you encountered the same problem as well?

It's probably a glitch. If not, then congrats! Haha. The biometrics appointment is important. You should call USCIS though just to check.

I'm actually changing addresses soon too. So this is good info to know. Thanks for posting!

Biometrics appointment went well. The security officers talked to me in Tagalog XD All in all, it was a good experience.

Did my biometrics this week on Wednesday (29th), took barely 10 mins. Nobody else was there. And today got a notice that an RFE letter was sent out. We expected that though.

Got my biometrics done today as well. It went super quick. Good thing I was reading this thread before I went or I wouldn't have brought my marriage certificate.
